I just picked up A Glasshouse Full of Stars on audio yesterday. I already had it in my TBR and was inspired to make sure that I picked it up when I saw Katey recommending it in the recommendations video. It's lovely on audio so far. Shirley Marr has flown under my radar for a while. I just bought her latest book as well. I need to buy Cici's Journal! I hadn't heard of The Bookshop of Dust and Dreams, that sounds great!

When you mentioned you like to read books featuring music, I realized I just finished a book you might enjoy. It's called Charm City Rocks: A Love Story by Matthew Norman, published in 2023. It's a contemporary fiction book about a group of people who form an atypical family and is set in Baltimore. The lead characters are a music teacher who works out of a record store. He's in his 40s and has a son just getting ready to attend college. And, a former female drummer of a famous all-girl rock band, who split up live on MTV some 20 years ago and has since been a bit of a recluse. He had a fan-type crush on the drummer back in the day and his son tries to orchestrate a meeting. Sex is a part of the story but is definitely off page, so should be enjoyable for those who like things less explicit. Good story about people who feel real.

I added Bookshop of Dust and Dreams, and Glasshouse of Stars to my Kindle. Possibilities sounds intriguing - Persuasion is also my favorite Jane Austen.

So far behind on RU-vid with everybody. Full time job is a definite changer after 30 of SAHM, but with part-time jobs in there for sanity. It seems all I do is work or sleep. Nice book haul! Have a great day.

Natural history is more about the main character overcoming social barriers in her alternative Victorian society, the Dragons are not a major player & they aren't magical. I just didn't want you to be disappointed. 🤗
@@BooksAndJams I enjoyed most of the story, particularly the sections where it gave closure to the whole Marilla and Gilbert's dad origin story. Really the only thing that turned me off was the whole Underground Railroad storyline....Not because I don't think its important to remember, but it just seemed so random to Marilla's story as nothing like that was ever even hinted at in the Anne of Green Gables series.
