Hello Mark ! The enormous effort you put in all your videos amaze me ! The more longest shots recorded on the planet are from You.Wish You and Sam all the best for 2019! Greetings from Hungary
Happy new year from France! My goal this year: buying from a Welsh guy newly settled in my village a Lee Enfield M1944 No4 Mk 1 that he found in his attic. The rifle was parachuted by the british for french resistance fighters during WW2 and is NOS... The distance less compared to your shots, but the pleasure will be the same ;-)
Another outstanding video by Mark and Sam. World class shooting Mark!! I have one of your bag bases, and never shoot without it!! You guys are the best!!
From a long range shooter here.....wholly moly you're getting some nice groupings with that little 6.5 at that range sir. Looks to be better with the 6.5 than with the 7 Mag....Possibly due to much less recoil? I've noticed very High BC with very little recoil makes for very little groups..... even with the best of muzzle brakes.
What a bloody coincidence. I only just came across brt website and March scopes about 2 hrs before watching your upload😮😮 Looking forward doing more research into the scopes.
Mark and Sam you guys are legends never heard of the March Scopes before what you recommend for FClass shooting HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU BOTH 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
That's a good principle. My fear goes to the soft "rubber" parts that makes the scope (dust water mud etc) proof specially where it as to stay very reliable for repeatability... Happy new year!
The soft rubber parts are simply covers over the sliders. May not actually be necessary but were added. Earlier prototypes did not have the rubber. Look even Caterpillar have slider bearing systems. Without a rubber protector.
It is actually a different design really than a Unertal etc. I know that as I have used Unternal and old Lymans and Remington external scopes. I am a Bench Rest shooter so I know old stuff too. The only common thing here is technically the external adjustment part. It is an internal adjustment system turned inside out I suppose one could say and mounted within a frame with a special gimble and slider bearing system. DEON have several world wide patents on the mechanism. No Unternal has 400 MOA and it twist off centre at the front support, plus the scope tubes or bodies on those old ones slid back and forward. Thus the spring.
Stuart Elliott this is a shockingly impressive optic, but I’m assuming it it would be unreasonable to expect it to hold up to the abuse of a more conventional design.
I had an idea you would be the first to review Mark, thanks! I use an March 10-60 High Master with a Charlie Tarac and a ERA-Tac adjustable base because I like higher magnification. Setting the elevation is somewhat challenging with this setup but it does grantee that the scope is almost parallel to the barrel so no funky big cant angles. I see on the Genesis it tilts up to 7 degrees, yowza! That makes for a pretty acute angle and a very high cheek riser with the buttpad slid all the way up top. How does that feel? It seemed solid but I have to think there is some disadvantages to that. Also, are you catching the barrel in the scope at low mags? I bet a little beyond the 250 minute you were dialing it would start to appear. Only way to counter that is to raise it up, which makes it even more funky. If it were between the Genesis and a regular scope with a Tarac which way would you go?
Hi Chris, yes scope height is always an issue with cant / adjustable elevation, at this level we found not issues, although you could see the muzzle brake at 6x, just no need to go there with this set up, as for higher than 250moa, you would need to use spacer as supplied, once there you would need to set rifle up to suit. For me I would say up to 200 maybe 250 (depending on rifle), this idea has it (being able to dial is awesome, but scope cant will become tricky), beyond that the likes of the Charlie has it (standard scope height with extra elevation is great, but not so easy or accurate to dial), both systems have their place with of course the likes of the Valdada Recon G2 with it's 150 moa becomes great bang for the buck. All said and done, like the best rifle question, really depends on what you are really doing and if possible, more than one choice is the winner, Cheers and all the best for 2019.
Been interested in that scope. Curious of repeatability with the movement of things. What are ur thoughts on that type of elevation adjustment bein repeatable and holding zero? What elevation are yall when shooting? Love yalls vids. Happy new year to yall
Hi David, we have found repeatability so far has been spot on, all designed that way of course, as for elevation (altitude) is 1000', Cheers and all the best for 2019.
Great video. Beautiful land out there. Wish i lived there. How much of your barrel and muzzle brake were in view of the scope? As always, much respect from Cincinnati, Ohio, U.S.A.
What bullet was you running for this scope test? I love watching your videos! Great shooting you guys! I really like my 4aw bag base! I never shoot without it! It’s really helped my shooting! Happy New Year!
Yes Mike, the guys sent us one, it's very nice and been working great, here's a link to one of the videos using the scope ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KcNR23HsSuI.html , Cheers
Happy New Year! Looks like the CM held its own pretty well, even at that distance, well under an MOA wasn't it? At least it was easy to see the splash in the dry dirt.
Hmmm... Well, happy new year, but this is full on summer for you. When do you think the farm will be 'shoot-able' again ? Nice scope. An old design that is now 'new' again.
Hi Bruce, Happy New Year to you and yours. Big time Summer for us now, we are having 40 deg C plus days (so 100 deg F plus). The usual :). Definitely into our shooting season now. Main strip has been harvested. Still waiting for the 5K shot area. Cheers and all the best.
I wondered how long it was going to take you to get your hands on one of those. I've been longing to see it in action since the first news releases of the scope. Very cool.
I reckon after watching that you should bye private car plates called swirlywind, badwind, damnwind, fnwind and put it on one of those bad arsed cars you build...or yours...more content there would be nice btw :)
