The biggest problem with NCAA 10 was always how there were never any upsets in the tournament and every game would end with like a 30 point difference.

Here after Fairleigh Dickinson becomes the 2nd 16-seed ever to beat a 1-seed (poor Purdue). Also, you were right that Iowa St would be upset, just wrong team, it was the team that beat Mississippi St in the First Four In game, lol. But dang, Virginia, Arizona, Texas A&M, Iowa St, and Purdue all being upset in the first round. Plus, Kennesaw St blew their chance to take down Xavier, and at least two winners of the First Four In games advance to the Round of 32. I bet there are so many busted brackets already.

I did the same thing (working on a similar video idea). One thing with NCAA Basketball 10 is that the regions don’t lineup with the current day bracket. For instance IU-Purdue are on opposite sides of the bracket and could not meet in the Final Four.

Love to see more March Madness videos. Maybe do a bracket with the worst 68 teams. Or one with the best teams sorted by geography in each region (UCLA, Gonzaga, Arizona* all in West - Michigan State, Marquette, Purdue* all in Midwest). Or make all the teams OP with 99 overalls in a lesser conference like the Ivy League and see how many teams in the conference make the tournament.

Simulations just take the raw statistics up. It doesn't care about the human element. Which is why you don't see a lot of upsets. But if it were realistic, then it'd be more prone to upsets

Upsets depend on which route you go, because as a yearly occurance according to 538's coefficient based ranking (based on actual results, like ELO or what the UEFA uses instead of a boomer committee) there are a bunch of lower seeds favourited against higher seeds. Not just coin flips between 8 and 9 like 49% vs 51%, but even 10/11 seeds being 60+% favourited compared to 6 or 7 seeds.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news… but your final 4 matchups are wrong. East plays South and West plays Midwest. So your matchups ought to be Purdue v Arizona and Indiana v Gonzaga.
