Thank you so much Libby. Children's Corner have markings on the pattern pieces and excellent instructions for making the pleats, so it was quite straightforward to make. I used a lot of spray starch, so the pleats are pretty easy to iron back in once the skirt is washed. Hope that helps!

Thank you Chloe. I really wanted to make sure the costumes would have a longer shelf life than just one day! I am also so looking forward to the warmer weather so I can wear the skirt and tank top. Hopefully it is not too far away now.
I should definitely start doing this. I haven't had any problems so far as I do stick to the stretch percentage mentioned in patterns, but I will start checking the neckbands more carefully I think!
Hi, there is a great video on the channel Thoughtful Creativity on how to sew a neckband, and how to measure the correct length for different fabrics. I recently made a mess of the band on a t-shirt, and those guidelines really helped. I didn't think I could unpick the band without making holes, so I just cut it off since the seam was very small. Thank you so much Christine! I will definitely take a look at the video as I think it would be good to measure the neckband before sewing to check it is correct for each garment! It is quite a high neckband, so I think I could probably just trim it off and start over.
Loved everything. I always do. I have just finished a Mabel dress today and am very pleased with it. It was my first time shirring, so not perfect by any means. But the next one will be better . I am currently knitting socks. They are such a great little project to have on hand and pick up in any spare moment xxx

I made the Jane ShirtDress that you recommended. I did size down because the pattern is so oversized. I also added 1/2" to the bodice, and I could have added more. I am happy with the ShirtDress and appreciated the free pattern.
Wow you really were busy in March, loved the sew frugal top and skirt. Great idea to make the cat kid into a onesie and he can remove tail and wear it since it’s still a bit chilly 👍

Thank you Caroline. Nina Lee has extended her size range in most of her patterns, but sadly not the Camden Pinafore, which is a shame. Jennifer Lauren Handmade Patterns has some beautiful pinafores in bigger sizes. Her 'Dulcie Pinafore' is similar to the Camden. Hope that helps!
