Love watching your videos, just slow enjoyable fishing, with simple baits, those still work, back to simpler time, this is how fishing should be, thanks
The past few weeks we have had a ton of rain. I do love the smell of a lake in the early morning. You got One-eyed Willie! Who knows, had you not left the fluke at home you wouldn't have thrown the lizard.
Great vid Dana, my boater and I went up to Browns Bridge, I think that’s what he called it, the water was very clear, but we catch anything, until we went to stained and muddy water, and we fished points, I weighed in 3 bass for 7lbs 9oz’s, caught 2 on a 5/16 black and blue finesse jig with a zoom double tail trailer, and 1 on the sprout little John md 50 crankbait in root beer/chartreuse, it felt REALLY good, so now I’m getting ready for Eufuala during the first week in April and will have lizards, THANKS for your wisdom and knowledge Dana, it’s TRULY appreciated.
Glad to hear you got on the board! Brown's Bridge is mid lake, it's completely different than up here. I have worn them out the last couple days. I have a lot of video to edit! I have been catching some big fish.
Excellent video and it's amazing how you are staying with your strong points and are carrying over into spring fishing . Once again keeping it simple . It was a gorgeous day you fished and I installed a water pump in my SUV 😅 . Tight lines !
That's a really pretty colored lizard, that blue/purple I think works about everywhere and all the action that thing has is awesome!! Great video Dana!!
Dana: I need to address a concern. One of your techniques is causing me big problems. I’ve lost so many family members who have been swallowed by big fish when you set the hook and miss. You must be more careful and hook those bass! I don’t want to loose any more siblings. Signed: Larry the Lizard. All kidding aside, another great video. I know your subs appreciate your dedication and hard work. Stay safe, catch lots of fish (remember my siblings) and enjoy each day. God Bless!
Nice stringer of good ones Dana. Seems like you caught fish on points and banks. What was the water visibility like? Planning on going out Tues. Might just take a lizard rig with me, based on your success.
I was fishing the front half of the creeks, the back half was muddy. After the rains over the weekend most of the creeks are really muddy. I had to search for some clearer water yesterday.
@@FCPFishing Sometimes when you set the hook you look like you could fly backwards out of the boat! All that commotion could loosen the screws, so be careful. Good video
I've been following you several months now and have looked at many of your videos. I dont recall you throwing any moving baits such as crankbaits other than top water baits. No spinnerbaits or swimbaits, just curious as to why?
Keep looking at videos from years past. There are plenty of cranks, swim baits, spinnerbaits etc. It all depends on time of year. Also, most days I will catch more fish with jigs than any moving bait anyway. I tend to fish differently than most other guys.
I rarely fish for Crappies anymore, but I've filleted more fish than I can remember. I'm not the best cook, so I guess I need to find a lady friend to cook some for me.
@@pricefutrell5871 I would never eat a Bass or Striper. I grew up in Nebraska fishing for Walleyes. I guess once you get used to eating Walleyes you become a fish snob. Only Walleyes will do.
Crappy taste pretty good. I’m with ya tho, never ate a bass, spotted, larggy, striped, white or any other. They all get to go back and get bigger. Where I grew up SFL, they grow 2 pounds a year. 😮
