I am imagining other HBCU bands playing this piece, probably would be much louder and less expressive however; none of them would be able to match the quality sound and musicianship of the 100's. NONE!!!
Pacadezine it would have been the twerk club version instead of the American concert classic it was intended to be. This arrangement is intended to maintain the integrity of Mr. Ray Charles targeted outcome when he requested an orchestra.
Others can swiped at the song, but FAMU woodwinds are by far a cut above the rest. FAMU is the only HBCU band to arrange music to specifically highlight the technical of their woodwind section.
@@ThePaul641 When you're used to having 500 people in the band your arrangements can cater to woodwinds, but FAMU is definitely not the only band I've seen that allow woodwinds to shine. But there is not only one style of this song. Even when Ray Charles performed it, it was not always the same way
