The government funds are not there for the taking. Budget spending should redound to the benefit of the people and not to the select few who were in the first place voted to serve public interest. That so called tradition has always favored the two highest position of the land. It should be set aside for good, for the sake of public interest. Accountability in the use of public funds should always be at the heart of government spending. The problem is they pick and choose as to what departments that need transparency for political gains. For many years they hide how those senators protecting NPA to not have transparency how they spend their budgets. Most of their budgets were used to protect NPA.
