Kid is such a stud. Hoping they find ways to manage his snaps so his career doesnt get shortened. Playing 3 ways as a rookie is unheard of especially in the NFL where just getting one position on a 53 man roster can take a whole life of grinding. He's always been the best. Watched him play high school ball at Enterprise and then at Troy. Nobody does it better than Marcus Jones. Amazing young man and athlete.

This is a piping hot take since he's only played his rookie year but I would almost argue he's better or at least more talented than Edelman. Obviously doesn't have shit to show for it but this kid came out in his rookie season and did what only Deion Sanders had done before him. I think this kid is gonna be a massive impact player on the Pats for years to come.
Prior to his final year in college I recall a buddy of mine (who's tight with the UH program) saying if Jones was 6' tall he'd be a first round pick. He's undersized but watch him play; kid's a baller.

I mean he has 4 years on rookie contract still, far from even thinking about signing. Bill isn’t going to give him an extension and pay him big bucks yet. Wouldn’t make sense, would just take cap away from the team. But we have a promising secondary with him and Jack as the future. Just need one more young talent to go on the other boundary across from Jack, and we will be set for the next 4 years at corner. Which Bill always hits on corners, so I know we will snag another stud in the draft this year. We also need some young Safety’s. Adrian will probably be gone soon, and Dmac is retiring. Kyle Dugger is a monster, we need to add more young safety’s to pair with him. See how Joshua Bledsoe pans out.
It'd be a great pick solely for his kick/punt returns. Then add his defensive and offensive contributions... haven't had a talent with this short of iron man skills since Troy Brown (which is one of my all-time favorite Patriots), and this kid seem like he's even more skilled.
