Just giving them a heads up. On a side note, telling the police that you are armed and about to confront a victimizer, is the fastest way to get a response.
"Ma'am I've been a Navy Seal for the past 10 years I am not worried about hurting myself" This man is not only a hero but a down right legend of a person.
For those that can’t understand Marcus lutrell’s dedication to this over a dog, that dog was a service dog, given to him for PTSD after he was the only survivor after a horrific ambush in Afghanistan. He named the dog DAISY, after his fallen brothers from that ambush.
@@ritotron5752 apologies my phone autocorrected. I never claimed to know him, and its clear I never meant any offense to him his family or his friends, so can you please explain what you perceived that got that reaction?
@@astralpoops8977 If God's sending people to hell for killing dogs, there's a lot of people who've killed animals, sadistically or otherwise, that are probably going to hell. I also don't buy this idea that God would care about Americans or troops that defend this country more than he would care about any other person throughout history defending their own country or torturing Americans (Vietnam, ISIS), who believe they are simply defending their country (definition of Taliban).
1:30 “hey you better get someone out here cause they got a gun and I got one too, so this gonna turn into a gun fight” Most badass sentence I have ever heard
Marcus would have absolutely obliterate them. And they'd deserve it. That's so fucked up and disrespectful especially to someone who risked their life and should have died in combat, all to protect USA's freedom. Fucking pisses me off.
He knew it was possible that he could soon be in a gunfight with a pistol, against three armed unknowns. And he was completely fine with those odds. What an absolute warrior
@@PHONKQUOTED He crawled away from the ambush wounded instead of dying too. We all like to think we can do what Rambo did in the movies, but real life is different. I doubt he could have saved his buddies. Should he have tried?--maybe, but it likely wouldn't have saved them. 2.75 RLTW
Good Lord. He loses his friends in combat, gets a dog names the dog after his fallen friends, and then has to watch the dog be gunned down for absolutely no reason. This hero deserves so much better from us.
This dude just lost his dog, is chasing a car by himself with 3 armed men over 100 mph and is giving better directions than my wife does while looking at her GPS
He's more qualified to drive that fast and to use his m9's than the cops are.... And just FYI... That "dog" was Dasy she was givin to Marcus by the Marine corps for rehabilitation when he was injured in 2005.. if anyone cares
I've been a dispatcher for 12 years now and now a supervisor of 911 dispatch, I can tell you Marcus is about the most ideal color you could ever have not to mention his ability to stay so calm is amazing. This is not how 911 calls go when somebody or something has been shot they are never this calm. Much respect to this man
interesting info for anyone that doesn't know: he named that dog 'Dasy' - the misspelling is because it was an acronym for the names of his dead combat buddies.
@@Steve211Ucdhihifvshi Probably some unhinged anti American degenerates who found out where he lived and decided to, in their mind anyways, get pay back for what the soldier had done. Psychos see this type of situation as justified revenge in some ways.
I’ve probably listened to this 10 times. “When she asks what is your name?” And he calmly states “Marcus Luttrell.” It still makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up.
To me it sounds like he actually lowered his heart rate to be able to function so well under duress. Even if he is just controlling it, this is a very seasoned, experienced professional.
Sometimes the adrenaline rush acts as a calming influence on some people. I know that sounds counterintuitive but with some people, me being one of them, when there is a an immediate crisis in front of you everything slows down, and you see things very clearly
You notice he doesn't once mention that he was the "Lone Survivor". True heroes don't want recognition or appreciation. Warrior ethos to the max. Bless you for your service, Marcus.
These guys just killed his dog, he's chasing them over 100mph, AND he's anticipating a gunfight... And the guy sounds cool as a cucumber! The guy is a certified badass
"Sir, I don't want you to go 110mph" "I'm not lettin' these guys go that just murdered my dog." Operator just goes silent, like "Ah, yeah, you're right. That makes sense."
So he's rollen heavy, armed well enough, calm as the breeze, sounds like he's ordering take out, after they shot and killed his service dog. Next level exercise of restraint and control.
His dog, was a PTSD service dog he got as part of his recovery program when he came back. Her name was DASY, which was an acronym for the brothers of his squad that past away during the operation they made a movie about. I am a vet, and this makes me tear up.
This breaks my heart....... I just lost my service dog due to old age ... If someone hurt my boy I would take every bone from their body starting with their hands and feet all fuckin 107 bones ONE BY ONE
A buck fifty says that aside from the devastating fact those pukes killed Marcus’s dog, the pursuit was probably one of his most easiest days of his professionally trained life. His focus was absolutely amazing, as you didn’t even hear his voice get loud, his breathing was controlled, and his demeanor was courteous as all can be. Stoic, poised, and prepared. God Bless Marcus Lutrell.
@@apple_with_a_human_butt let him start shooting and see if they wanna take that a no animal on. I damn sure would not. Cops are far from "trained 'professionals' ".
How dumb does this 911 dispatcher feel when she realized later she was talking to a national treasure…. I’m sure the cops were friendly once it was established who he is. I know ow it was a long time ago but damn it I’m still sorry as hell this happened.
Imagine shooting a guys dog who’s owner is literally trained to track down and kill people. Trained to overcome all obstacles to get the job done. That’s some scary shit man.
The way the 911 operator said “you’re chasing them bc they killed your dog?” All indignant and shit like this man was outta his mind, let a K-9 officer get shot and see what happens, that was his service animal do you know how much time and money are involved in actual service animals? This man was also the only man to survive an ambush on his seal team in Afghanistan, I’m so impressed with the level of control and calm that he had over him.
@@user-pe9ko8ck2y it’s what makes SEALS special, always calm under pressure. Their mindset is what separates them from everyone else. It’s why they’re elite, it’s why they’re the best. 🙌🏽
this was the best comment I've seen on this whole video. considering it was a mark whalberg reference and mark portrayed Marcus himself in the lone survivor movie
@@A_TALKINGSLUG they actually do train for driving a multitude of different vehicles, but yes they can still crash. I never said they couldnt so i really dont know why you commented when all i did was quote marcus
A_TALKINGSLUG actually yes many special forces and even non special forces learn how to drive vehicles for many situations my father is an ex royal marine in UK and he was trained to do many high speed vehicle manoeuvres he’s never crashed a car in his life and on his driving license he can drive almost any type of vehicle.
they wouldnt shoot a dog and run off at 90mph, they new exactly who he is becuase he released his book about what happened over seas before the shooting, they thought it would make an example or some shit.
Alfonso Hernandez, 27, was given the maximum sentence for the state-jail felony charge of cruelty to non-live stock animals by visiting Judge Jerry Winfree on Wednesday and fined $1,000. Hernandez was found guilty of the crime by a Walker County jury in December. Co-defendant Michael John Edmonds, 24, was sentenced to five years probation and fined $1,000 for the same offense. @@shamm249 you have to be an awful person to shoot a person's dog for fun in the first place but to shoot a Navy freakin seal's dog(a man that has been trained for years to kill the most dangerous people on the planet) is beyond stupid! Like playing Marco Polo with a great white shark!!!!
@Flip Flop It's why as just a low level grunt in the Infantry I've stopped bringing up any service. I tell a joke...some Navy SEAL who is also a Ranger/Ex-french foreign Legionnaire who also happened to have shot Osama him self secretly years before. Ruins a good MRE/Porta john joke every time.
So insane to hear the calmness in his voice going 100 mph chasing someone. The adrenaline isn't even pumping cause he so trained and endured a millions times worse situation.
@Austen Hittle, You are correct sir. He is 100 percent committed to his training. Spent at least six months every day learning the craft. That would be equal two years for the average range guy. Also, he trained with the top gun people that have been in the real fight.
@@cbrucesbiz cool. 6 months of training is ranger shit. To be a seal you have to have 30 months of training. Or 2 and a half years of straight training.
Amazing restraint, he's so calm and stoic with his manner while literally on a high speed chase. I don't know if those people who killed his dog knew it was his house or not but what they didn't know is that when they killed his service dog, it was like they killed his fallen brothers all over again as well as his dog. They are lucky to be alive, lucky that he called it in, lucky he stayed on their ass to capture them and lucky he didn't retaliate in any other way, shape or form. Because we all know he could've made them all disappear without a trace.

This guy went through the hardest military training to become a SEAL, gets into a gunfight (Operation Red Wings) lost 3 of his brothers, crawls 7 miles to safety with shrapnel all over him, recovers from his wounds does 1 more tour after being medically retired. The helicopter was heard, being only a mile away from the village shortly before daybreak. At first light, the fast rope and foot prints were discovered. When the 4 man NAVSOF SR team was located, they were debating what to do with a farmer and about 100 goats. Shortly after, they were ambushed by Ahmed Shah and 7 or 8 others armed with ak47s, PKM, RPGs and 2 video cameras. The ambush was at least 180 degrees and from 3 interlocking points. It wasn't a long fight. He crawled to Muhammod Gulib's door. Lone Suvivor was a work of fiction based on real events. It's not a documentary. I, personally, doubt the story of the goat herders.
Brian Morrison a quick google search will tell you they were ambushed by about 50 taliban. Not 7 or 8. I do agree that films should not be interpreted as documentaries, but surviving an ambush from 50 taliban with AK’s is nothing to scoff at.
