They probably have a better chance of winning Eurovision than Loreen, since apart from Johnny Logan and Rolf Løvland (songwriter of Bobbysocks' La det Swinge 1985, and one half of Secret Garden and composer of Nocturne 1995) no other winning artists have managed to win Eurovision twice. Elisabeth Andreassen of Bobbysocks almost managed so when she came second in 1996 as a solo artist with the song I evighet. But that was her second return to the ESC after having won with Bobbysocks. Her first was a song Duet, written by Rolf Løvland, which she performed with Jan Werner Danielsen, and came 6th. in the ESC 1994. Chorlotte Perelli won for Sweden in 1999 with the song Take me to your heaven, or Tusen och en natt, which was the Swedish title. She won Melodifestivalen again in 2008 with the song Hero - but only came 18th. in the final. Alexander Rybak won Eurovision with the highest score and furthest ahead of number 2 ever in 2009 with the song Fairytale. Despite winning his semifinal, he came 15th. in the 2018 ESC when he returned with the song That's how you write a song. There has been 11 years since Loreen won Eurovision with Euphoria - 3 more than Charlotte Perelli and Alexander Rybak waited before returning. So 3 more years to be forgotten by the voting audience. The year before Loreen won in 2012 the 1998 winner with the song Diva, Dana International, returned to the ESC with the song Ding dong - and failed to qualify for the final. Most ESC winners never return to the competition after having won. There is a reason for that. Lightning seldom strike the same place twice. So unless Loreen has a song which is better than Air, sending her is more likely to cost Sweden the victory, than secure it.
@@Tvjunkieful12 Loreen is a bit of a different case though, her and her winning song aren't just one of the most legendary Eurovision winning entries of all time, but it became a huge radio hit across basically all of Europe, so definitely more people would recognize her. Apart from that, most winning artists that returned, returned with way less competitive songs (Alexander Rybak or Dana International being two prime examples). Johnny Logan on the other hand came back with another competitive song and won. But that might not just be it, cause popular music styles also change over time, but the style Johnny Logan brought was still popular in the time he won the second time. Might the same now be for Loreen, because such pop songs are still popular nowadays? This is just speculation, but if Loreen brings us another highly competitive entry, Sweden might just be able to get their first win of the decade!
Is It another basic pop song ? Yeah , but the staging really elevates the song and this boys have a very strong stage presence . This is the only song by now that could reach a top 5 in Liverpool. Lets see what Loreen brings but in my opinion Sweden should send "Air" , personally i believe different people should get the chance to go to Eurovision , i dont really enjoy when people that have already gone to Eurovision go again . Anyways , lets wait and see !!
@@crimeinvest6523 Swedish Norwegian - Marcus and Martinus has contributed too. Something which is pretty common, since it is important that the artist performing the song has a personal connection to it, and that the song is tailor made for the artist/artists voice/voices and style of music. Had Air been written with Anna Bergendal (in mind), it would have been totally different in style and pace. Sometimes artists are directly involved in the writing and composing process - other times they "just" give directions about what the song should be about, what style of music, and say yes or no to the various suggestions of music or little verse lines that are being presented. And also are present and try singing them so the actual songwriters get a better understanding of what notes to include, and which to avoid. But that counts as being part of the writing process, and earns them writing credits. Cathy Dennis, one of Britains best writers of pop songs for many years (Kylie Minogue, S-Club 7, One Direction and more) famously said she preferred to work when the artist wasn`t in the room, cause then she kept all the royalties herself.
Great vocals and catchy song! Sounds like a global hit to me! Hope it does well on Spotify and other social media platforms if it doesn't win to the highly overrated Loreen!
Loreen is great too, but I honestly feel this song and performance is superior to the pseudo artistic performance artist stageing of Loreen climbing on all four supposedly squeezed between two plates. And that for a song called tattoo? I also think Loreen was mumbly at the start of Tattoo - I for sure couldn't hear what she was singing - while Marcus and Martinus had both great diction, and smooth vocal changes. I think Air would be magical even without the lights - not sure Tattoo would have been that noteworthy had Loreen not crawled on all four. So in my ears Marcus and Martinus are better.
Rolling shutter effect. In real life the lasers are flickering really fast and they change the shutter speed of the cameras. That creates this effect, looks like the lasers are bending through the air. This effect is also seen at Liam Gallagher Brit awards 2022. Cool stuff
I just hope they add a little movement to to amp the 2nd chorus up. A dancer interacting with them would be nice I think (kinda like Every Minute by Eric Saade in 2021)
It is the rules. Only after all the finalists have been presented can the direct to final qualifide songs be released on the public. I agree it is a silly rule since many have recordings, or access to streamings, of the entire show. But rules are rules...
This song won’t do as good as Loreen in Eurovision for the reason that the juries won’t vote for it, it just sounds like another David Guetta style of songs easy to forget. Loreen has the ethnic vocals and it’s a different type of dance song that the juries of musicians get n would vote for
there isn't better songs at all till now and this will be a winner unless loreen or a better song come from heat 4...this is will be top 3 if it didn't win
I don’t like them but this song is fire better from loreen :/ I can hear it in island at summer with a margarita in my hand and close the eye to a hot guy 😂😂😂
Where have you gotten that from? They have competed now so no they can’t be disqualified, and a lot of people are posting other people that went straight to the final, do you think everyone would be disqualified or? Yes it’s not allowed to post this but since it’s not Marcus & Martinus themselves that posted it they won’t be punished.
