He lost his wife, his best friend, a idol (the guy who died in gears 2 by suicide) had to support his best friend after killing his wife, watching his father die twice and now his son. The fact this man has any emotion left is amazing. A miracle really. He is the literal face of strength

Two things 1. I dont think I have ever cried that many times at a video 2. The interaction between Marcus and Jd when marcus finds out Del died is actually super hard to get through marcus gives Jd a look like "bro I know " which makes you think of dom and its river city in my eyes all over again 3. Let's just appreciate the fact that the creators of all the gears games made us have this strong of a connection to the characters that it tugs at our hearts when they fell pain

I am very interested in how they will show the repercussions of Kait's decision in Gears 6. Gears 5 was a VERY strong story telling. Not perfect, but Far better than GoW4 was.

Loosing a brother who's been to hell and back with you all the way vs a son who tried to keep up to his father's legends lost his life in the pursuit of father's love. Gears is legit damn good story telling and being able to experience it with your squad. Good life memories right there.

Marcus losing JD hurts so much. He’s dealt with enough...so I killed Del. 😭 Honestly killing Del is best for the story because although we lose a good character we also bring back some strength and trust in a bond between father and son.

Nothing will ever come close to as sad as doms death, he was a true cog soldier through and through. He saved his fellow gears at the expense of his own life. We grew up with Dom from 1-3 he was like that brother you always wanted, you went through his journey of finding Maria and experiencing that, Dom will forever be the greatest video game character

In my 20 plus years of gaming, there is no other moment where I choked up and almost cried except when Dom died. Brothers till the end.

Am I the only one that actually wants JD’s death over Del’s? Felt like it has more impact, way more emotional, story wise it would make sense why Kait would save Del over JD.

It feels like they literally have it set where Del dies in the series though. They put more effort with Del death than JD.

It was only when I got them on gamepass that I really appreciated this series for what it is, Marcus is a banging lead character.
