I'm not a Celtics fan, but I'd put Marcus Smart on the All-Time Bleed Green Team. He was the heart & soul of the Celtics throughout the post-Rondo era. He was the last player to play with Rondo, who was the last player to leave the team from the 08 Championship roster. He was the bridge from the Big 4 Celtics to the Jays. Nice to see him get his flowers.
He gave up so much for the Celtics. I still remember watching that Celtics Rockets game where he drew the offensive fouls like it was yesterday. Best game I’ve ever watched. I hope we can bring him back and get him the ring that he deserves. Will always love and trust Marcus Smart.
That game was the greatest thing to ever see, I wasn't at the game but the intensity from the crowd came out the TV and into every fan, damn hard not to get a small tear thinking of that day💚
Not a Celtics fan, but he definitely deserved this tribute and ovation. Dude gave 100% every game and earned the love and respect of the Boston fan base. Well deserved Marcus! 👏🏼 👏🏼👏🏼
I agree he gave his heart and soul to Boston I don't understand them letting him go but I have no idea what goes on behind the scenes or financially but I did enjoy watching him play with Boston .
It was supposed to be Brogdon but clippers backed out at the last second🖕😭☘️ In an alternate timeline Smart is still in Boston AND we still got Porzingis😭
Always part of home, we need u backkk isn't the sameee, poor fella wus soo emotional that nighttt u can tell he didn't want bothered hearing it again, 🥺
My favorite Smart moment was when he took over for when IT got hurt in the ECF. Cs were down 0-2, everyone counted them out. I'm not taking anything away from IT, but when they said he was out and Smart was gonna start, I KNEW they were gonna win a game, and that it'd be a dogfight. It truly was, and they won that game. Always loved Smart, for real one of my favorite players.
Not a Celtics fan at all but I love how they did his tribute. Straight hustle and dog like plays that contributes to winning. Would’ve been a great fit on the Grit & grind Memphis teams too!
Crazy that Tillman was on Memphis in this lol my bey he did t think he would be winning a ring. Buy much respect to Smart. One of my favorite Celtics of All time.
I’m sure he made a lot more great plays than simply a flash in the bucket, Marcus smart deserved at least two appreciation Highlights how much he hurt himself with all out hustling. Also, let’s not even mention how he took a team friendly contract so the team could work out both JT and JB contracts.
Went to high school with marcus where he won two state championships. Dude is a legend back home, i under the Celtics moving him. Sad that he wasn't on the championship team though. Marcus has the heart of a lion.
Boston ALWAYS sends players that did they're all for Boston, to the best situations. Grizzlies are injured. Look back, rondo to mavs. Kg pierce to Brooklyn, I.T to cavs ect
