This last week I visited Silver City, New Mexico and thought I'd share a Bonus Video with those of you who've never been, or have never even heard of it. Silver City is so beautiful. It's in the southwestern part of the state, surrounded by mountains, trees, and lakes. I've been going there my whole life, in part because my mother was born in a neighboring town that no longer exists. I explain how Santa Rita was, literally, mined away in this video. There's now just a giant open pit where the town once stood. My mom even belongs to an exclusive club made up of people who were born in Santa Rita, called "Born in Space." My grandfather worked in that copper mine. As it grew, residents were forced to move further out. He eventually settled in the town of Bayard, also near Silver City. And my oldest sister ended up living all her adult life in Silver City, so I've always had a reason to visit the area.
I mention one of my favorite places to eat, if you're ever in Silver City. It's called "Jalisco Cafe." You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, and it's all reasonable priced.
I hope you enjoy this Marcy Inspired Bonus Video. Be sure to give it a Thumbs Up, if you do. Please, Subscribe to this channel if you haven't already done so. And, as always, I also invite you to follow me on Instagram at https: marcyinspired or on Facebook at / marcyinspired
