It's almost 20 years that i'm listening to Black Metal and that first track goes into the masterpiece category. It has the hook, the melody, the raw anger, the epic atmosphere and most importantly the true kvlt.
Holy F***ing crap - I've finally found out what this myserious band KVLT is -- I've heard it mentioned on nick nocturnal and some other podcasts. I never know how to spell it or what to google. Lol. Oh well, mystery solved!! Thanks :)
Yeah, Winter Sun did the same thing with _the Forest Seasons,_ AND maintained a high dynamic range and excellent quality of recording overall. Highly recommended if you haven't given it a shot.
The guitar work on this album is INCREDIBLE. So many amazing melodies, so many breathtaking riffs. And the solos.....some of the best guitar solos in black metal EVER. This album is a pure masterpiece.
Yesterday was Midnight Odyssey, today Mare Cognitum. Imagine, in less than 24 hours, two of my favorite artists release new material. What time to be alive for me
100% WORTHY!!!!!!! Pay whatever you can get this for!!!! This is THE MUST have!!!!! I am NOT kidding!!!! One of the best bm projects out here!!!!!!!!!! Hails to you Mare Cognitum! Jake you rule!!!
@@thehipoglucido1 Well, I've been trailing video after video after video on youtube for a long time, and on most releases there are always people who shout "BM aLbUm of tHe YEar!" , which is annoying because I'm usually like "what generic drivel is? I know of at least two band who do this better than this band." (I can only assume they are people who can't compare much, I don't know.) This is the first time that the music lives up to the hype imo. I'm blown away. In my opinion the guy or gal's enthusiasm is justified for once!
Without a doubt has become my favorite atmospheric Black Metal artist ever. Going through the whole MC discography and it's just filled with dark delights for your ears. Cannot highly recommend enough!
Thank you Mare Cognitum and BMP for posting this before release!!! What a huge week for black metal having Mare Cognitum and Aara dropping huge albums!!!!
Sorry I must comment again, for I am absolutely enthralled with the death metal like melodies. This is such a tasteful blend of black and death working harmoniously. I am in love with this album !!!!!!
Thank you black metal promotion for so many amazing bands. Probably if not this channel I would never hear those bands. Mare cognitum... what can I say. After 30 seconds of listening random song I knew album is going to be Great. In fact it's fucking fantastic.
I was waiting for this for so long. Masterpiece is this one and masterpieces are previous albums. One of the greatest Black Metal artists in the last years.
I've listened to Mare Cognitum for about 5 years now, ever since I found Phobos Monolith in 2016.. I will keep on supporting his music, that's for sure. It's my favorite kind of black metal.
Ataraxia Tunnels. God fckng dmnd how I long for the heavenly leads from 10.08......I still didn't manage to focus on the background....I think it's the most beautiful ending of an album I ever heard
These compositions are so fucking good. I've listened to alot of atmospheric/cosmic black metal lately and there's alot of great stuff but I keep going back to this and his entire catalogue. It's fucking beautiful.
For me, Mare Cognitum with this album deserves to be called one of the best albums of the year. I thought Midnight Odyssey or Akhlys but no, Mare Cognitum is better. The album crushed me into an armchair. REVELATION!!!
@@GabrielRGomes i think he meant to say: its nothing *short* of a masterpiece, to which i 💯💯💯💯💯💯percent agree🤘🏻Mare Cognitum is a one-man band and the dude who created it is beast🔥
@@mattdubya1037 yea, for a one-man band to create such a cohesive sound is truly unique. I love the comtemplation atmosphere that his music have. I've listened to Phobos and Lumniferous and I love both. I didn't have time to listen to this entirely yet, but i will and i'm pretty certain that i will like it.
this dude has killer riffs, killer vocals, amazing solos.his sense of melody over the black metal basics is fucking amazing.i mean the solos take it to an another level
I am proud to have known Jaboc since his second album release. I have a couple of his records in the handmade versions, which are very limited and rare at this point. He was a big part of my life with his first couple of records and we were very close. He's climbed the ranks extremely well, and he is to this day one of the best solo black metal masterminds. Mare Cognitum is incredible!!
A lot of people commenting, that you don't see in other BMP album premieres, tells me all i need to know about this special album. This is an album I will be listening to in the years to come - well, hopefully i will be - death might have other ideas!
@@TheBorathon I'm not on any platform of social media and generally don't really care about anything anyone has to say... but what'd I miss about his reputation? I've never worked with him directly with any kind of artist endorsement but he doesn't strike me as the type to pull the primadonna rock star bullshit. Is he difficult to work with in the studio/writing process? I know the Agalloch split was not amicable, so I'm sure some dirty laundry was aired after that.
Only halfway through and this is blowing me away, similar to how Phobos Monolith did the first time I took it for a spin. But Solar Paroxysm feels more immediately commanding and relentless. There seems to a bigger emphasis on songwriting and creating an atmosphere with the omnipresent guitars rather than with synths or keyboards, which are still present and perfectly used, but just don’t seem to grab my attention quite as much. The riffs are insane and euphoric (love the death metal vibes sprinkled in) as is the drumming (incredibly thunderous blasting). Thank you Mare Cognitum for another amazing album!
Only.... amazing, really, USA and ABM👌sound like to dream. Thank you for the music. Really, really strong, a masterpiece 👌🇦🇹🙋☠️one of the best, if I ever heard, no more words, only listen about this grandios album. All killers, no fillers 🎶
Exactly. I was listening to this while I was just doing some homework in the background but when rhat part hit I was blown away. Just sat doing nothing but listen to the full album.
