Langkawi looked stunning. Sky bridge - wow ! The boat trip looked fabulous too. I like a good detox too Andy. Just gets to a point (on any holiday) where I just need water. Love the James Bond and Dirty dancing music. Those entertainers work bloody hard.
Yeah, 14 nights of drinking is a bit too much! I agree. Some people put them down, but it's amazing the amount of work they're doing to put on all those shows.
Another fantastic vlog you 2 it looked amazing beautiful scenery bet you both ready for a rest on the next day the sea day bet you both were shattered can't wait to catch ya both with the Cruise Monkeys that will be funny 😂😂😂 hope you both have a lovely weekend 🙋♀️👋🍷🍷👍👍👍
Hi Andy, Just been watching your adventures in Langkawi which looked amazing. We are off on a similar cruise next Jan. Did you do organised tours from the ship or on your own?
Really enjoying your vlogs as we have booked this cruise for next year. Loved the Langkawi visit and was wondering how easy it was to do this on your own? Did you prebook the elements of your tour or just hire a taxi when you disembarked?
It was really easy. We grabbed the taxi when we disembarked. Obviously, being a local, he new everyone and sorted out the stuff for us to do. He was really easy going and we could have done anything we wanted. Nothing was pre booked. We just winged it!
We got off the ship with no plan and our guy was right there at the gangway (you can see him there in the video as we disembarked). Don't know if it would always be that easy, having only been there that one time. Think it may have been around £60 for the day. However, that's just for the cab and his time. Any activities you choose you will pay for separately. It was definitely worth doing.
We did Langkawi back in 2020 with Marella Discovery , we had two days here, so first day we did the cabin car tour, 2nd day we went in the town of Langkawi and had lunch there, had one of the best chicken and chips
Great video and nice that you can continue to travel on the Marella ships abroad during our winter in the uk..thanks for sharing your experience keep the videos coming
Hi, the taxi was around £60 for the day. Mangroves £90 for the 2 of us and we had our own boat. Cable car is around £25 each. There isn't an excursion that does both. I think the mangrove excursion one was about £90 each. It was great to spend as much time as we wanted and not be dragged around with loads of other people on this occasion.
We love those days when you kind of make it up as you go along as opposed to a big tour. That sky bridge was "Well Cool," according to Max, and I agree, stunning views. So does Kirsty ration herself on Eggs Benedict ?
I am so looking forward to this cruise. I am all booked up & it looks amazing ! Two years ago I had breast cancer & I never ever thought I would be well enough to experience anything so fabulous. Thank you for sharing. I cannot wait. Becky x
We are so glad you got do the Mangrove trip and the cable car with have been to Langkawi twice and love the place. your video has got the thoughts of a return visit for us. Joining Arvia tomorrow for a transatlantic back to Southampton.
That looked like another great day....Ive noticed that 'heights' seem to have been a bit of a theme on this trip though 😬 And you've been really lucky with some good shows. Seemed weird not to see Andy guzzling a red with dinner 😅
Yeah, we did get up to a few high places! The Marella shows we find are consistently good. I can drink red wine every night on a 7 night cruise, not 14!
We absolutely would provide more information if we were doing this professionally, but as they're solely our holiday videos, it would just add a further layer of stress, making sure we remembered to do it. Plus, often, we've paid for these things weeks in advance and don't have the info to hand. It sounds easy, but it's also easy to forget stuff like that, so I'd rather not have to think and stress about it. It would be never ending: drinks & drinks packages, tours, speciality dining etc
