When he publicly criticized Mudryk in the media nobody said anything and Mudryk has responded to the challenge, just cuz it’s Reece it’s a problem, hopefully Reece steps up to the challenge because we need a leadership core in our squad for years to come
Reece James after Cole Palmer it’s my favourite player. But we criticised Mudryk, now when it’s the captain it’s “dangerous “ for the team??? Nah nah, he should be criticised.
People are undermining how ridiculous the job Enzo Maresca has on his hands is. 1. Create a new system from scratch for an overblown squad 2. Coach amateurs like mudryk and the likes like a bunch of 12 year olds to learn how to use their brains 3. Keep an immature team of fairly talented players happy by proper squad management. 4.Create leaders from the scratch because quality and consistent leaders couldn’t be bought in the market and doesn’t exist in the club (never been done before historically) 5. Challenge for top 4 despite circumstances in 123&4 6. Utilize academy product despite an already overblown squad. 7. Win the fanbase over in press conferences and with so called aura/charisma. 8. Keep players that have never been fit in the last 4 years fit by managing their minute whilst simultaneously getting the best out of them ? What Maresca is trying to do is almost impossible for any coach in world football. So far he is already exceeding expectations least we can do is back him and back this current project. Maresca knows what he is doing and exactly what he is saying.
If Enzo said that, then they're (the club) probably laying the foundations for the upheaval, that'll lead to Reece being sold. Unless, his injury troubles miraculously disappear, and Reece doesn't throw his toys.
Miz I believe the foundation of being a great leader is based around wether you are a natural introvert or extrovert in terms of your personality, no matter what field or profession you are in. If you are naturally introverted, soft spoken and quiet like Reece seems to be then it is very difficult for leadership skills to develop to a high level, as you need to be vocal, loud, confident and commanding as a captain on the pitch for 90 minutes. What are your thoughts?
