The photograph cannot be Margaret E. Knight who died at age 76 in 1914. This woman obviously lived decades later.

Photography was invented around 1840. What makes you think that this woman on the picture is not her?

@@jozsefzsamboki3834, this woman is not older than 50. Even at 60, that would make this picture from 1898. The style of clothes for a woman at the turn of the century would not have been this. Her inventions re: the paper bag were before 1870. Can you find any picture from that time with such clarity and of an equivalent style? It is so improbable as to be near impossible.

Right! I looked at this video only because I was searching for an explanation of why this photo illustrates several articles about Margaret Knight It doesn't matter when photography was invented... you might have a camera before 1900, but you couldn't take a picture of something that didn't exist yet. Margaret Knight was the age of the woman in this picture, let's say between 25 and 50 years old, in the late 19th century. She would have worn long hair pulled up on her head, no makeup, and Victorian clothing, including long sleeves and a corset. She didn't live to see lipstick, or 1930's crepe dresses like this one, or this woman's hairstyle, even her expression.... all very typical of around 1936.
