Margaret Glaspy - Peak Summer Session (Full Performance) recorded live at The Barley Beach House in Rye, NY on 8/27/23 Listen online at 1071ThePeak.com
I'm a 60 year old live music lover. I've seen prog and punk legends give me all the drama they could possibly give over the years and been massively pleased by it all BUT MY GOODNESS 🤫🤭..... 😬..... This performance bought me to tears on more levels than I could musically handle. The lyrics, THAT VOICE, THAT GUITAR! The way that voice lyrics and guitar intertwine. Pure musical magic. Margaret Glaspy if you read this "comment"...... You don't don't get heard by as many people as the beatles or Beyonce (🙄) but my goodness you make this almost gettin old fella happy 👌 ✌️n❤
I'm a music dork. I tend to break down songs and categorize them into composition, musicality, style, and words. Margaret excels in all my category's, and makes me feel silly for analyzing music in such a dorky way. So in conclusion... this is absolute magic.
Brilliant!. A great personality.I would like to see her in Spain. Lots of artists which i want to see are playing in USA. I don´t Know why!!. It´s not fair. 😄
She took up the fiddle in third grade and began playing guitar and trombone in high school. At sixteen, she decided to focus exclusively on the guitar. She later received an educational grant and attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston. She was only able to afford to attend college for one semester, but continued to sneak into workshops and masterclasses on the campus. Glaspy eventually dropped out of college and began performing around Boston. Glaspy began her solo career by releasing an EP in July 2012 titled Homeschool. She signed to ATO Records in 2015 and in January 2016, released a 7-inch EP, which included "You and I" and "Somebody to Anybody". These songs were later included on the 2016 album Emotions and Math
