We talk through our First Impressions of the New Margaritaville at Sea Islander Cruise Ship out of Tampa Cruise Port and we CANNOT believe what we’ve experienced on Embarkation Day! What happens when the worst rated cruise line in North America launches a new cruise ship? Is Margaritaville at Sea doing the right thing with the Margaritaville at Sea Islander Cruise Ship? Do we recommend booked cruise passengers on other cruise lines book future sailings on this new cruise ship? Margaritaville 😮🫤. Oh boy. Only thing is if a refurbished Costa ship, it shouldn’t be too bad. Oh. 🥂 on boarding. A suite? Very nice. Nice gift bag. Bathroom looks nice. Tub/shower combo. Casino 🎰. The margarita glass chandelier is cute. 2 pools. Oh those taco 🌮 bowls were kinda small. Can always go for seconds. Well ok is better than bad. Thanks for sharing 🤗

If you think about the first one the deal to join up with Margaritaville was likely done quickly to save the cruise line during the COVID shutdown, between that and selling their only other ship they were able to keep the lights in. Given the timeframe they had and the lack of revenue Paradise definitely didn’t receive the kind of theming or renovation it deserved. This is really their true no compromises first ship.

Ship looks MUCH better than the previous ones I've seen. For a suite, the bathroom design wasn't great, but the room design was pretty and updated. Don't care if you're on a 'budget' cruise, these cruises cost several hundred to a couple thousand for a 3 night cruise, the food should be better than 'ok'. Thanks for keeping it real on some of the issues, and please continue!

Wow, I just took a peek at pricing on their website out of curiosity. With their current sale for the 5 day it's $838 for an extended balcony for two over Halloween. That is silly cheap. I would definitely deal with just OK food at that price or with the huge amount of money I'd normally spend spring for some upgraded dining. I'd have to see some drink menus to decide on the $71 a day including gratuities drink package. Even with adding these things on it's still far cheaper than my average balcony cruise on Celebrity, NCL, or Virgin on a per day cost basis. I can't wait to see the rest of your review!

We wouldn’t recommend flying from UK to do MAS at this point, as you could get better options for cheaper in Europe. But if you want a Caribbean vacation for as affordable as possible, then it may be right for you!

Theoreticals for slots that equate to over $200 coin-in/point (sometimes much more)… once you get two points, you get free drinks while playing for the rest of the day… if you get 2 pts per day, you get free drinks while playing for the length of your cruise… just an example of how the program is 😅

I would do a 5 day on that ship, especially only being 15-20 minutes from Port Tampa. I saw in 2025 they will be doing some 6 & 7 days cruises also. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the videos from your cruise.

This ship looks much nicer than their first one, but even though I'm just a 1:45min drive away from that port, I don't plan on trying Margaritaville lol I'm not bougie at all LOL my favorite line is Carnival. But I also don't like taking cruises that are less than 6 nights. On another note, I think you guys should do an update on that cruise that you guys were going to live on board for a few months because hasn't that been delayed like 4 or 5 times now? I was actually surprised when you guys said you were planning on getting on that ship I figured for your Channel having the ability to go on many different lines many different ships would draw more attention than being on the same shiip for months at a time. I'm sure the first few videos my draw a lot of views because it's a unique concept, but the novelty would wear out quickly, I think.

I'm actually quite impressed by what the cruise line did with this older ship. It looks very nice. 1,000,000 times nicer than the first one. And indeed, that was a beautiful room. But it's to be expected as it was a suite. No balcony though.

He guys, Tampa here. Yep, I'm on her Aug 23rd and can't wait. The "Taco bar" is ifffffie for some people, so they can't make it over spicy for I think fear that pax won't enjoy them. You probably can embellish with HOT if desired. This is what TAMPA BAY needs besides RCI and CCL. My feelings, they will do well in Tampa. Enjoy and see you in your next video !! Sail safe.

The age demographic matches what we see on Carnival and Royal ships. Of course, the shorter the voyager, the wilder the crowd, but we haven’t seen it be too wild on the inaugural maiden voyage. ☺️

Hubby told me that there was a new Margaritaville ship but after the reviews of the first one I told him I doubt we would ever go on one. I did look at pricing for a suite but wanted to wait to see if it's any better than the first one. Disappointed you didn't show us the balcony in the suite. The room was not very big for a suite and looks ok but to me the balcony is the best part of any cruise. Is this on the aft? Please let us see the balcony. Hope you have fun.

I was in the video and was on this cruise. It was THE worst cruise I have been on. It was pretty but a lot of things broke including windows and elevators. A LOT of kinks and workers need more training for sure.

We wish they had a few full preview sailings as this is actually usual for most “new” ships. You can’t find the kinks to work out until you have all of the staterooms occupied, which makes sense why some kinks were discovered on this sailing. Overall, we had a good cruise especially at the price point. That being said, we know everyone’s experience is different. Besides seeing some leaks during the storm and some bathrooms not working correctly, we actually didn’t witness any other issues maintenance-wise. Our stateroom was fantastic! Sorry you didn’t have a great cruise, we know everyone’s experience can be different from one another and your experience is a valid one. ☺️

A/c is okay. Not the strongest but the room is definitely not hot or uncomfortable. Wi-Fi has been off and on. Seems like first day is there pain point sailing away. Can’t charge slots to your room yet, but they plan to be able to soon! ☺️

Living outside of Tampa I’m actually tempted to try this ship. Did not think I’d say that. They have a key west and progreso, Mexico itinerary that would be completely new to me too.

Hey Guys, Tampa here AGAIN. Where are all the deck loungers ??? You know what "SEA DAYS" are all about. Pax grab the loungers, anywhere they are available. And for a ship to have 2650 ??? full capacity, there doesn't seem to be half that for the pax count. Perhaps they are being delivered, or pax will just spread out the towels on the deck. As always I have an "Enquiring" mind. Sail safe.

Loungers are limited compared to some other ships… we noticed this as well. That said, they do exist just not as many on the main pool decks. 😊

We were on this cruise as well. It was awful. Worst ship we have ever cruised on. While the ship was beautiful, the food was gross, I choked on a bone in the chicken tacos. No AC one night, key cards wouldn’t work, time in Cozumel was cut shorter than any port we have ever stopped at. And the departure off ship was a nightmare! 2 hour line. Communication and systems sucked and who does a muster drill anymore? It was just odd. We won’t go back.

We wish they had a few full shakedown sailings as this is actually usual for most “new” ships. You can’t find the kinks to work out until you have all of the staterooms occupied, which makes sense why some kinks were discovered on this sailing. Overall, we had a good cruise especially at the price point. That being said, we know everyone’s experience is different. Besides seeing some leaks during the storm and some bathrooms not working correctly, we actually didn’t witness any other issues maintenance-wise. Our stateroom was fantastic! Sorry you didn’t have a great cruise, we know everyone’s experience can be different from one another and your experience is a valid one. ☺️

Never could understand why people show up just to wait around. I'm Diamond on Carnival and show up late and get on the ship in 10 minutes. Time is money!

I just checked, for the heck of it, how much would it be a 5 day cruise from Tampa to Key West and Cozumel on the Margaritaville at Sea Islander out of Tampa... The cheapest Balcony on Deck 5, assigned by the Cruise Line (you can't choose your cabin) was 958 bucks for two passengers, Port Taxes $272 for 2 people, Drinking Package (15 drinks per day Maximum) $637 for two passengers... Total $1867... plus $180 for tips ($18 per person per day)... and a SURPRISING $15 extra per person, per day fuel charge not advertised on their site but charged to your account... Grand Total $2,197 for a 5 days cruise... No Excursions, no Specialty Dining, no Express Check In or Priority Boarding and Wi-Fi ($358 extra for two passengers). I believe this is not a Budget Cruise Line... it might even be more expensive than Carnival and Royal Caribbean...

If you take the drink package off and start at an interior, it would be around $1k for two people for 5 nights… that’s ~$100/person/night… includes food, accommodations, entertainment, activities, pools, hot-tubs, and beautiful ports of call. We would call that a great deal and a budget cruise line cheaper than what most hotels cost over a 5 night stay without any food, entertainment, activities, or beautiful new destinations to explore. We have a lot of Royal Caribbean/Carnival clients and look at rates all the time. These rates with Margaritaville at Sea Islander are on average more affordable. That said, there will be (like with all cruise lines) dates where Carnival or Royal may be cheaper for certain stateroom categories. Overall, this line is usually more affordable than others. This doesn’t mean it’s better or worse, just more affordable on average. ☺️

My fiancee and i are new to cruising, taking our first on MSC 3 months ago, looking for a trip to mexico in a few months and this cruise line popped up. It is significantly cheaper, but looks like a lot of fun! I heard carnival is a party boat how did this line compare?

This will be a party ship as well. Carnival would be the closest cruise line that MAS Islander is similar to.
