@@ThemeParkFoodies I hope a little bit of Broadway gets to tour near you guys, A lot of great shows have announced their tours. Thanks again for the help Jay & Sam
Rooftop bar is a highlight here. All around great resort with solid location. The spacing can feel a bit crammed but the staff and atmosphere are on point and needed for this area in the City.
Ahhhh I can't stand those open doors in hotels now lol. So weird and get the floor so wet. Gorgeous view from rooms and I know we've said it before but we just love your honesty with these reviews. I miss the City so much, it's been 2 long years. Hopefully soon! Great video and bummer that Sam couldn't make it. Ouch on that resort fee lol.
Lol yeah the resort fee is a bit much but I feel like the cost in the city is always up there. I think the open door in the shower looks nice but in order for it to be practical and not get water on the floor the shower has to be huge. Hope you guys can get back to the city soon. Also, thank you! We try to be as honest as possible although sometimes our appreciation of food makes us a little bias lol.
To be honest, I filmed this so long ago it's hard for me to remember. I do remember it not being particularly sunny and I don't think you'd get much Sun unless it was Noonish or around then. Hope that helps a bit. Definitely don't think it's the ideal spot to get a tan 😆.
This is crazy! I can’t believe they built a Margaritaville in downtown NYC. It seems off-brand, and yet it somehow works perfectly. The lady liberty statue with the lava lamp glass is something else! Bummer that Sam couldn’t make it, but it looks like you had a nice getaway. Only thing that turns me off a little is that you’re paying the resort fee for that pool, but the pool itself seems to be pretty small and probably a little harder to relax in. Also, why call it ‘5 o’clock somewhere’ if it only matters that it’s 5 o’clock right there? 😂 Still, looks like a great little escape location with a lot of good theming and some great views. Great video Jay!
I've got to give Sam all the credit for editing this. I got to relax in a well themed island paradise and when I went to work Friday she edited this thing all day. The Pool is a novelty for it being open air, heated and in NYC but you're right. It's small and I couldn't imagine how packed it could get if all those guest rooms were full. It's expensive but I feel like that's the way NYC works. However, the staff were exemplary. They were incredibly attentive and really made the visit. Also, the theme was on point. I thought the same thing about the location and what they were looking to do with this spot. I was very skeptical they could pull it off but they did and I think this is a resort that really compliments Times Square. It kind of takes you away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Thanks for watching! We always appreciate hearing both of your thoughts and insight.
You did! Happy Birthday to your cousin lol. That video will most likely be out this or next week. Feel free to say hi if we ever run into eachother again.
A hot tub and spa is the best part of a resort.. I can see lots of ppl contesting that resort fee. Sounds like they are offering the same thing that every hotel offers for free or at the least built into the daily rate. Is there a spa? It’s a nice hotel but I’m not really sold on the word resort as I’ve worked in the NYC metro area hospitality industry for over 20 years and there really is no difference here from any other hotel aside from a pool that me being out of shape would never use in a NYC Times Square setting. They probably have a dry cleaning/ ironing service instead of an iron in the room plus most ppl steam their clothes these days. NYC is all about charging for every little thing in a hotel as to maximize revenue hence the very small sleeping rooms, parking fees, etc.
The resort fee definitely seemed steep, probably why this was a one and done experience for us. We lived in NY so we didn’t frequent NYC hotels often, but are fans of the Margaritaville brand, which attracted us to the area.
