Good video, thanks. Surely in a match you can’t have a baited hook in the water (holding top kit between your legs) while you feed (I accept some venues allow feeding whilst a baited hook in the water but most don’t).

What ratio is he using for the mix he’s feeding? 1 part ground bait to 1 part micros? I heard him say don’t feed to much gb because of liners

When fishing a match if start is 10oclock when do you start to feed margin ?

Hi Steven, (Frankie here)... It depends mate, if you have a lot of room and space I would maybe look at feeding the margin with say 2 hours to go. But, as a general rule I would feed them with 1.45 hours to go and look to fish them with just over an hour to go. don't be afraid of feeding a few times before fishing them, this will give the fish confidence and result in more fish in the net.

Im just a normal fisherman i have fished the odd matches open matches ect and i always do evening sessions on match lakes an had some of the biggest fish out the ponds in the margin after everyones gone home i think matches should start at 12pm an fish till 7pm during the summer the carp dont settle till about 6pm there all just basking and cruising about during the day an 99% of matches dont allow free lining or floating bread so i just never fish matches anymore its like there rigged

Hi, later matches definitely make sense. However, a lot of matches are run at that time due to travel and logistical reasons. Also, we genuinely think that the carp would get used to those times and only feed later as a result. Thanks for your comment :)

@@TackleguruTV and matt godfrey is advertising its okay to use light hook links in silver matches so he or match people can just yank on it snap up on purpose cuz they dont want a carp which to me an most fisherman is out rageous and discusting shouldnt be trying to damage fish or leave hooks in them so have a word with yourselfs no wonder 90% of match fish have half a face if i seen someone do that on my pond they would get a fucking black eye
