I've heard Glass's music done by experts who didn't seem to understand the composer's multidimensional approach. This is a sensitive, articulate portrayal, and viewers should see that we get only part of the impact the live audience must surely have experienced.

This piece is Metamorphosis 2 not 1. 1 is in E minor whereas this is in A minor. And there's that pesky issue of an entirely different melody as well. Seriously Deutsche Grammophon?

Must be such an experience to witness that live! Beautiful music and nice playing. I think however that this is an arrangement of Metamorphosis 2 and not 1. Is that possible?

I was about to write it too. Yes. It's number 2. There is not any arpeggio in number 1.

I love Glass but Mari is an inferior soloist. Seen some of her P Performances now and they lack technical perfection to a great degree and also are played without any feeling.
