Castlevania Nocturne ep 1x08
Maria's Father the Abbott of the Church is told he must sacrifice his daughter to seal his pact with the Vampire Messiah. When Maria shows up to save him from his evil pact he commits to this sacrificial plan. Maria is bound on the alter of the church with her father quoting Genesis 22 NIV. Richtor and Maria's mother show up to save her as she struggles on the alter.

I hate hands-front tie up. I really do. That said, this is a pretty good reference to how you actually met Maria in Rondo of Blood the first time: Almost getting sacrificed for demons.

Man I really need to watch this anime. I recognized the bible verses being about how Abraham was asked by God to kill his own son, but it was all a test because an Angel did end up stopping him at the last minute. This guy is like no imma actually kill my child.

that was unexpected. its just what castlevania needed. im a big fan of castlevania, but the series never caught my attention. now, I think it's not too late to change my mind.

It is a good show, the characters are developed very well and the story is captivating. You won't regret watching it

I remember seeing an anime like that, except that the one they had tied up had a stake nailed to it. I don't know what kind of monster it was, but I think it was a demon, a vampire, or something like that.

This Father proves that sometimes the most devout are the ones you must avoid. Because God only had Abraham prepare Issac to be sacrificed as a test. He stopped Abraham before he killed his son and turned Abraham’s attention to a ram that had been caught in some briars to be sacrificed instead
