This was the time where women of means had grace, elegance, femininity, sophistication and were gifted beautiful jewels by their rich husbands or rich lovers. Women with lesser means or rich husbands or lovers acquired great costumed jewels but nonetheless women of that time had grace, elegance, femininity and sophistication.

Maria Callas was an extraordinary woman! She was talented, beautiful and elegant. Thank you for bringing details about her taste in beautiful jewelry. But I must say this: Onassis was a stingy with her. Just look at the time she was with him and realize that the jewelry she was wearing was the same as the one she wore before meeting him. Her jewelry came out of her own pocket as many biographies of her describe. Anyway, it was a wonderful video. Thanks!

How on earth can you be so ignorant - my apologies - for pronouncing her surname, “callous” as in “He has a callous on his little toe.” The first “a,” in “Callas,” like the second, is a pure vowel sound similar to “ah.” Why can’t native speakers of English, particularly the British, get this simple knowledge/understanding? It’s not rocket science! I hope this helps. (Your pronunciation ruined listening to the video for me).
