I can't believe that as many Scarlatti anthologies as I've heard and listening to music for over 50 years this music I never heardkirkpatrick 208 AMajor till Pirez ! And it is one of the Special out of 555 .I know the completists know it.Pogorelich (the best recording you'll ever hear of any piano music period-I think its all studio altered its impossible the touches and tones he conjures soundseasily outclasses Horowitz or Jorge Bolet [superb technicians]overlooked this one as did Michelangeli,Horowitz,Pletnev,Gilels everybodyIt's been on youtube for 12 years! I saw video of her playing it live before I found this. I love the contemporary street scene.Now does Pirez ever play anything written in the last 50 years no Spanish music!No deFalla ,GranadosI aint crazy about either but Hesseven played Spanish music! HectorB living Spanish composer must have some piano music and the 2 Portugese 20th century Freitas & the other guy.PleasePirez there must be some contemps in your programmes !
