I think a lot of fans who don't really know the truth disliked it because as Maria has said she spoke the truth what was good was good what was bad. She sugarcoated NOTHING. A lot of people just can't accept that, Maria loved and respected her mother dearly. She knew what to expect. Also Marlene respected her dearly as well.
