Her comment ‘what’s up with that girl if she’s single’ just goes to show how long it took for her to get in touch with other peoples experiences and suffering. Being divorced does not mean that ‘that’ girl did anything wrong. ‘That girl’ could be the pillar of the community and probably has a lot more strength because she’s going through her personal life alone. These are the women and men who should be applauded, because it’s so much harder without a strong loving (and wealthy) partner. I was surprised she was so ignorant for so long on that topic.

Before I retired I was in aviation for a federal law enforcement agency. There was probably 8 times where we met Gov Schwarzenegger (at the time) at Executive Services, Sacramento International Airport. We had on our LE flight suits and our shoulder holsters on, so he and his protection detail knew who we were. He was always very nice and told us to help ourselves to the refreshments he had there. Everyone was really nice with the exception of Maria. She never had the decency to even say hello.

I feel so bad for her. He is such an idiot. She is trying to take the high road and keep her family together. I don’t think I could be as gracious.

The Arnold story is out now and they do go into the scandal and it affected him too, deeply. I did a recent follow up and it indicates that although divorced they do function roughly like a family, social and familial events and they keep up contact but of course Maria and Arnold dont live together and are divorced. I would have thought she would have taken it better and maybe even forgiven him given the scandalous history of the Kennedy's and Adultery but I guess this struck directly at her and she could not go on as things were. Shame they were such a nice family.

I wonder if she can get her career back. As for Arnold, I hope this is a lesson to young women who refuse to appreciate their advantages. Maria had a fantastic life for herself and regrettably she chose to 'rebel' against it by basically messiing with Arnold. Arnold even cheated on her before they were even engaged and it is clear that Maria was stupid to not see how she looked to Arnold as a member of the Kennedy clan.

This would happen to any couple not just this power house celebrity couple. Like any guy married or not, when you have a babysitter or house keeper, when its there its there temptation at its best. This has been going on since the beginning of time. No guy will say no. Maria maybe wonderful, hardworking and attractive herself but women like her and all of us can have it all, do all the right things but we tend to live in the land of denial, seem naive and believe our spouses would never do anything like this. We still get screwed over whether we have our lives together or, not. We have our friends and family who warn us of the dangers but, we believe as women we can change that man, he would never do that, then it finally happens. You then feel embarrassed and ashamed that you became one of those women. This reminds me of a woman my grandmother knew. She told me about how everytime she went to tge salon on Saturday morning all this woman talked about was how wonderful her husband was and how he did this for her, that for her. Mind yiu this was 1962 when my grandmother was a young 31 year old at that time. Then it finally happened that same beautiful woman who bragged about how wonderful he was, was later taken out of the salon on a strecher. When my grandmother was walking in and asked what happened the receptionist said that woman just found out her husband was having an affair with his secretary. You ciukd be young. You can be old look like frump or a supermodel when its there, its there.
