so glad to hear the real stretta Donizetti composed to end act 2 (after the curse), and not the inferior mezzo version for Malibran everyone's performing today. Gruberova is superb here omg.

Finalmente un Leicester che canta bene, anche se deve cantare con una ex grandissima Maria ma ormai alla frutta!

The most beautiful Leicester of them all! Whatever Flórez sings outshines every other interpretation in my opinion. Gruberova and Ganassi are wonderfull too, of course, but this is my favourite Maria Stuarda thanks to Juan Diego Flórez.
