Me encanta la música mariachi. El sonido de los violines, guitarras y trompetas, junto con la voz del cantante de corazón herido, se fusionan en una música maravillosa y extraordinariamente buena. ¡Y lo loco es que soy de Filipinas!
TO ALL THE PEOPLE THAT TOOK PART TO MAKE THIS VIDEO AND THE ARTIST IN IT ,I WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU FROM ALL OUR PEOPLE, THE SOUNDS RUNS THROUGH OUR VEINS, MUCHO ORGULLO.
Having been raised by my grandmother in Coah. Mexico I grew up with this music. I am richer for hearing it. Viva Mariachi, where my mind enjoyed the sound but my heart felt the words.
Originated in cocula jalisco as early as late 1600s and the trumpet didn't gwt introduced until the 1930s. There is records of cocula being the birthplace of mariachi in the late 1600s.
It made me tear up of joy! So Beautiful. Thank you for the appreciation of our Mexican Music. This made me feel at home, i am from California and lived in the South and North Cali. I moved to Texas in 2014 but just felt so close to Cali.:)❤️
Thanks so much for sharing this heart-warming documentary. Only in my 60s have I come to appreciate the incredibly rich musical heritage of Latin America.
A detail that they failed to mention is that the reason why the trumpet was so popular back then was because you also had a significant presence of Cuban Septeto Habanero and Danzón bands playing in the nightclubs in Mexico City during the 1930s. And that style of music also became very popular
Magnificent presentation for appearance based Mexican ( Asian immigrant) like me. Hard n soft elements of being Mariachi. But great music for forgetting dullness of life. Thank you Jussojuan Surender Singal
I remember meeting Sylvesrte Vargas with my dad in Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago in the 70s. Both my parents are from Jalisco and were acquainted with people that knew him. This was a well done documentary.
LOVE THE MARIACHI!❤️ Nobody seems to know where the 'Mariachi' or even the word "Mariachi" originated from. I was taught that the word 'Mariachi' is an "Otomí" word related to the indigenous Otomí people in the central altiplano region of Mexico; and the "Otomí" word "Mariachi" means "Dia de Fiesta" (or 'Holiday' - in English). I concluded that it probably started with a group of Otomí people puting a music group together and celebrating...sometime in the 19th Century (January 1, 1801 to December 31, 1900)...this is the most logical answer for me, but who really knows???
There is records of mariachis playing music in that town in the late 1600s theres written records of that . And trumpets didn't get introduced to mariachis until the 1930s
Mariachi music has a lot of the down to earth romantic feelings that Eddy Arnold, Patsy Cline, and Marty Robbins had. I’m sure they were influenced by Mariachi music
Very nice job - you could have mentioned Antonio Aguilar and his touring rodeo with its essential mariachi backup band. You could have mentioned Vicente Fernandez whose tours always included a mariachi band. You could have mentioned the mariachi band in Croatia - Los Caballeros - one of the best mariachi groups in the world. You could have mentioned Placido Domingo's recordings and shows with mariachi accompaniment. You could have mentioned Walt Disney World in Florida with its Mexican Pavilion and Mariachi Cobre. You could have mentioned Mariachi Sol de Mexico which has performed at the White House in DC. You could have mentioned the fact that mariachi musicians do more session work (recording) in Mexico City than any others. Professional Mariachi bands are to prominent Mexican singers like Juan Gabriel, Amalia Mendoza, and Pepe Aguilar what bands in Los Angeles and New York and Las Vegas were to American singers like Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, Tony Bennett, Dean Martin, etc. etc. - simply indispensable.
