Wow, this is one of the best concert recordings I've ever heard. It sounds like you plugged into a soundboard. There's no doubt about this being 100% live.
It warms my heart to see her trying this hard. I know she's training really hard and it's working because she's getting that 90s clarity back. You could hear it in this climax. If she keeps training the next era will be fantastic vocally.
I cannot believe her voice condition. To be frank, I thought she's not gonna sing that song ever again bc it's too hard. but still nailed it with 100% live.
Live or not live, pre-recorded or not pre-recorded, who cares..... we know that she's a vocalist and that she have talent.. artist don't have to sing live all the time and besides you fans have to let them breath jeeeez!!! YOU are the ones who are expecting to much from them by killing their souls by judging them if the can't reach some notes...... she's in her 40’s fans/Lams or whatever you called yourself..... It's not easy to find somebody like her, she has a wide vocal register and she's also beautiful!! I would never critize her in a bad way, she works so hard

It's not easy to manage all those things... and if you see pretty much every singer n vocalists on this earth 🌏 their voices changes thought the years some change to be ok and some doesn't. And the people has the audacity to judge because she can't reach some notes anymore? Have several 💺 💺 💺 fans/lambs whatever...... It's the same happens to Whitney Houston, the fans expected her when she came back to belt the song exact same way as when she was in her younger days.... she sang tour after tour after tour after tour, sweating her face off on stage belting extremely and she had a drug addiction.... isn't it obvious that here voice is not gonna stay in shape at certain age after her comback? But her own so called fans destroyed her with judgement.....So yeah, FANS if you can put a frase in a melody and maintain it for hours n hours with cracking your voice, congrats to u😏😏😏😏😌😌😌
I totaly agree!! fans should know how hard they work, I don't understand why they judge that way and then they say they are true fans... If I'm a true fan I would never complain about everything she does! in fact I liked more her style in the beginning of her career, I mean her clothes and simplicity, but I accept that she changed, and times change, it doesn't change my admiration for her, even if her voice changed, that's normal, she has worked so hard, I wish I could sing like her even in her bad days, anyway her voice is wonderful, how am I going to criticize if I cannot do it better than her! I've seen videos of "fans/lambs" that say she lost her voice, they say RIP Mariah's voices, that's not fair... just because maybe she failed a few notes!!?? if she's touring and working hard all the time, don't expect she doesn't feel tired and demand she makes it perfectly as her early years. I would love to see her in concert I would pay for it no matter if it's pre-recorded becos I know she really sings and doesn't need any autotune like many "singers" do nowadays. I also would love she sings someday some rock and irish music, and also Jazz and blues, I'm sure she can make it fantastic!! she can do with her voice whatever she wants, she's not just a pop, r&b singer, she also can sing opera, like her mom but Mariah's voice is more beautiful, she has perfect control to sing any interval and a great technique. her voice is so unique, in all registers, lower or higher, for me she's the best in the world, I don't know how people can compare her with Ariana Grande, they also compare with J.lo!!! J.lo???!!! are they serious?? it's like compare a cat with a lion,.. and Mariah has been also a big influence in the music industry for decades,(an influence for those like Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, Kelly K, etc) she has been so creative and innovative. She's not a copy of anyone!! I also wish the same, it would be nice to hear her lovely voice singing other genres :D let's cross fingers!
I have to admid that the past few years I thought Mariah lost her voice forever cause she sang a song after song pitchy. But after these lately European concert videos on youtube I have to say she is back in the game for shure!!! OMG what happened? It's live she never lost her voice her she was hiding her voice for a long time and rested the voice don't you heard always be my baby or shake it off if she goes higher at the and and when she haves there her old voice than she can sing the full song the voice what she's using now is her normal speak and new voice but if she goes higher with that than she can sing like in the last and there was no falsetto the D6 she was still going and at the end you here again here normal speak voice because you need air control box your voice and Mariah Carey make art with her voice it was not playback what everyone thought she sang live yes her voice chance sometimes first her old voice and her speak voice it's a wonder for her with 49 50 or 51 to sing like that nobody has that like her she's perfection
i strongly believe this is live. if you put earphones on, listen to the climax "it's the chance I gotta take" - the part "it's the" has a scratch on it. if she would use a pre-record, it'll be smooth all thoughout knowing the perfectionist that she is.
+Vulnerability i have seen her live in Manila during the Elusive Chanteuse tour, her worse period. I thought the songs were live and when i watched back the videos, i was really deceived like you mentioned. you might see the "Cry." performance uploaded by Qritiko and you can really tell that the first half was live because of the vocal shakiness but the other half is exactly the vocals from the record.
I love Mariah and she sounds AMAZING!!!!! Even so, you can tell the ending of the song was pre-recorded and she's miming. Not that I mind...her voice is still killer and she did about 80% LIVE!

She’s 46 in this. She is a vocal athlete. But athletics are naturally lost with age. Stamina lowers, muscle control isn’t as fine. She’s human, she’s probably enjoyed things that aren’t great for her voice. Like alcohol, acidic drinks, smoking. I’m 34 and my voice has changed SIGNIFICANTLY as I age. It’s better in some spots but higher notes I used to hit with ease come and go.
