What’s crazy is that probably with in the next 10 years maybe even few years this will be completely flawless and we will be able to do it with any artist.
You can do flawless ones now they just a lot of money as you have to run the algorithm for a long time , on a cloud server with multiple tpus/gpus with loads of memory over a few days could cost a 10 + thousand pounds but you would get flawless result
I don’t really want that to happen because think of all the upcoming artists getting screwed over by AI voice generators what I think we should do is use AI voices for when the artists voice is tired or sick it would help the real artist get better a lot faster and then once they’re ready they can actually sing their songs
The computer struggling a bit with the belting on that climax bridge 2:17 is kinda hilarious and a testament to the GOAT Chaka Khan… this was pretty cool to hear tho!!!

I am just stunned. I guess as a perpetual student of her voice the fact that there is some sort of actual generator that can duplicate the most magical of voices in such detail is TRIPPY. We need more!!

it's got her tone down impeccably but the vibrato is so Chaka. tbh Chaka songs suit her tone beautifully. would love to hear an I Feel For You AI cover just out of curiosity

I don't know whether to love or hate this. On the one hand, it REALLY convincing and high quality, and I actually prefer Mariah's vocals to Chaka's (which are great, but nasal compared to Mariah, and thin compared to Whitney). At the same time I hate that computers have taken over so much of humanity already and they are now coming after our human atributes, like voices, singing, art etc. We are about to loose the last few things that make us special compared to robots and thats scary!
I can't stop listening to this! It could have easily been included in the Rarities album and no one would have been the wiser... this is an amazing work!!!
In a few years we will go on Spotify or youtube to select a song and choose any artist who ever lived to sing it, a video to mach will generate, atmosphere effects will change the air to mach the mood and smell and we will be even more hypnotized new media by it than we are now 😂

I'm a Gen Z, I born into internet era etc but IT'S SCARY seeing what technology can do today (imagine in a few years). Mind blowing.
Please do Whitney Houston covers of, All by myself, Vision of love, It’s all coming back to me now, Make it happened or Because you loved me. Whitney’s voice I think suits these songs really really well.

Impressive, but it's a bit too raspy in parts for Prime Mariah and tonally it's unclear what era the vocals are modeled after. Chaka still comes through. Also, it needs more melisma, scatting, and rapid transitions between chest and falsetto.
