Mariah Carey performing Can't Let Go (snippet) and My All during her Las Vegas residency, The Butterfly Returns at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace on February 19, 2020.
I know there are too many critics who says that she lost her voice. Uh.. Yeah..40 years of singing will do that to you. I don't care for haters..will still go see her even if she hits only one note right. Still is greatest singer in her generation.
Exactly! She is preserving her vocals well. She doesn't have to belt it all out every times she's on stage for every single song. That's what Whitney did and her vocals were crinkly after years of "going there". We have to be open to hearing one or two songs going the distance. Not all of them.
Confidently it can be said there will never ever be someone to match her sound, range and talents not to mention her beauty. Blessed to be of the generation who grew with her to witness every bit of it firsthand!
@@jak30341 It was completely live. She can whistle through semi closed lips. Whistling is super easy for her particular vocal configuration, easier than belting or her lovely head voice. It's like humming.
Mariah Carey can sing 'do re mi fa so la ti do' for the whole day and night and i will find myself in ICU because of how mesmerizing her vocals are....!!!!!
This was a good night for her, and she is lovely. However, I wish this new "lambily" would recognize that she can still be great without them saying her technique is perfect. It isn't. Her big ballads like these really show how those extensive vocal acrobatics from her youth have deteriorated her instrument. There are still glimpses of the voice that was... but the wear & tear is obvious. Still a legend.
No one pretends that the wear and tear isn’t there. That’s all some lambs like to talk about actually. And many lambs have also said they’d like her to go to a vocal coach to accommodate her instrument to her current range. I don’t get why you can’t play devil’s advocate without making narratives up.
@@simonomisore1016 you sound silly as hell. Her trademark tone and her slumbering lows were in full effect in this performance. You’re trying to look at her voice as a whole, but there’s layers to her voice that can’t just be simplified.
Damn. I so hope she's able to tour again next year. I so want to see her again. Twice last year and I feel so blessed. The first times seeing her ever. Never thought I would and Mariah did not disappoint. 🦋🦋
My All is one of the most difficult songs to sing. Go and search online. The fact that she’s singing it now is amazing and it sounds like her prime. She did not lip. Mariah is not a very good lipper. u can tell when she’s lipping but here she didn’t. u could hear her more mature voice over the song and also like u can see her mouth movements aren’t exaggerated. her brows also burrow in when she sings. she also changed the lyrics and adds in a word or two in between in the chorus and stuff which hows she sang live and not lip it. She has had her bad days but that doesn’t mean she can’t sing anymore at all. She is still an amazing singer who has not lost anything but her confidence because people keep hating on her. If we start realising the effort she puts in and take a moment to realise she didn’t lip when she sounds amazing live, it will boost her confidence as she will know that people know she’s singing live and not lipping and this she would be motivated to deliver more out of this world amazing performances. Guys come on seriously, Mariah dedicated her life to music. She gave it HER ALL. She really deserves more than this...
Not fair a little late but got here anyway you think i choose my destiny ask why god why it took Aries to fight for what he already knew so long 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥♈♈😂😂😂😂♈♈♈
my all was live guys because from what i know mariah’s more mature voice can be heard over the song playing and like her mouth doesn’t make exaggerated movements. her brows burrow in too which shows she sang live
@@anthonyyumul5763 explain how she cannot sing anymore??? Obviously after singing and touring for 30 fucking years your not going sound the same and also when she has had nodules damaging her voice and range isn't going to help despite the fact she still sounds good today and better than most average singers on the radio so yes she still can sing and hit her iconic whistle notes
