After the fist show she was criticised to hell and back for being stiff with her stage fright so she made sure to MOVE for the other shows. They just can't leave her alone 😭 lol
This is pure perfection! She really enjoyed herself while performing this song. She moved a lot and gave us stage presence. Her tone was perfect. Her runs/riffs were fast and fluid. Her vocal transition was effortless. Her belts were full, strong and resonant. Her whistle register sounded so piercing, yet smooth and "bird-like". This is Mariah at her best!
To the people upset about the lack of the intro; I get that we all wanted to see it. But can we just appreciate that this person went to this tour, did great camerawork, kept the tapes for almost 30 years, and then digitized and uploaded them to RU-vid.
2:00 that whistle, is top 5 best improvs (I know she did it during all/most of the MBT, but I call it improv since it’s completely different from the studio version) she has done and will ever do in her 31 years in the business. Not only just whistle (although it’s definitely up there with her best in that area too) but overall. It’s such a creative whistle. Miles better than the studio, I honestly wish that was in the studio version. It’s so fun, interesting, and fresh. Truly one of her best.
Please upload - Vanishing - Now That I Know - Vision Of Love - I Don't Wanna Cry - Love Takes Time - I'll Be There - All In Your Mind - Anytime you Need a Friend - Someday - Just Be Good to Me - Hero - Without You From this tour, please 🙃🙃
@LambilyXDaydream same thoughts. Mbt seems to have more stability despite her being sick. In dwt, on the other hand, she took higher risks; some paid off and some were a mess.
Wow. Mariah Carey is really a "studio artist". She nailed the hardest song while she was sick better than anyone ever did with incredible energy and moving all the time on stage. I can't stand it when cover singer's stans try to belittle her talent just because inside they know that vocally she is unbeatable.
@@randocommando6355When you appear out of nowhere in the 90s and you raise the bar of singing, when you are vocally unmatched and at the same time your artistry is light years superior to all your peers there is a need to belittle your talent in some way, otherwise based on objective things you would have no competition.
I'm starting to believe you may be right, but she was sick, that's the problem, we can't see her real potential. Daydream is still unmatched. In MSG 95 her voice was inhuman
@@honestperson3042 It’s another confirmarion of the fact. Even sick she did what she did and showed vocals at the same level of Daydream Era... Also, I can see through the fact she was sick on MB and extra on DD. People get distracted by the upper belts and extra vocals on DD and forget about the whole vocal package. The MSG show was REALLY great, very much like Music Box Era, but she was already lowring her songs, doing more pauses, cutting phrases short and, apart from Forever which we don’t even have undubbed footage, she just sang easier songs compared to Thanksgiving or the suicidal tracklisting of MB Tour, what gave her room to change the vocals and saves her stamina for doing more extreme things, while on MB she was still singing the songs as they are in the studio. If you pick Hero performances from 1993, as Arsenio Hall, Gala Du Disc, Gran Gala de Las Cinco Estaciones, Jay Leno and mostly the one from Kulan, you can see her vocal quality and her technique was better and rounder than the Hero performances on Daydream (I’m picking Hero because it’s just her voice straight and the instrumental). If you compare the abilities, her agility was pretty much the same in both eras, and apart from the ease on the upper belts, MB wins at everything else. Daydream: - Upper belts (the best of her career). Music Box: - Whistle (everyone we have recordings is PERFECT). - Vibrato (best of her career). - Resonance (the most of her career). - Mid belts (the best of her career). - Low notes (much better than DD ones, which were her worst era of lows). - Falsetto (perfect, unlike DD shaky one) - Perfect pitch (DD was pitchy as fuck). Did you get it? People get illuded by the extreme vocals of Daydream, but in reality it doesn’t mean the era was better. MB is really the peak of her prime technically speaking.
@@renanrpm Music Box era. Yeah her voice was more evened out and fuller, not to mention her whistles were amazing, and she consistently supported up till Eb5/E5 (Much better than her years before 1993) but F5 and above it was still either a hit or a miss supporting those notes. I would say, 1993 was a great period in of technique transitioning. It seemed like her technique was finally working greatly for her better than ever then, but she was still trying to figure out how to sing certain notes of her range and support them with that technique F5 and above. Speaking of the Proctor’s Theatre concert, since she was still getting used to the change of technique at that time, I personally doubt she would’ve done everything exactly the way as whatever dubbed parts may have sounded like. She probably might of either hit the expected notes or not, but probably would’ve still not supported them especially considering she was sick the whole tour right before the Thanksgiving concert. I doubt she would’ve really had the exact same stamina in the original un-edited takes. But MSG in Daydream era is more legit because we actually know how great her stamina was on the un-edited recordings and how it basically is pretty much better the dubbed recordings.
I got tired just by watching 😧😱 I never seen such energy and presence on stage and belting high notes with ease while running and jumping around. completely mind blown.
Seeing her energy and style of singing here, it’s clear that this is the most natural and fun version of Mariah on stage. It’s very similar to the Mariah of the most recent years imo.
I don't understand why in the another videos of 1993 doesn't sounds like this, This is amazing. It's Sounds so similiar to Thanksgiving special wow wow WOW, Sorry for my english. Greetings From Colombia!!!
