The intro is so iconic to me, Fantasy is my all time favorite song. Her voice coming into the room for the first time is just ethereal. I wish I had been alive and present to experience this, what a MOMENT.
Hey lambs, I know Mariah listens when we ask for things, so could we all rally together and ask her for a Virtual Concert for The Rarities? Kind of like how The Clark Sisters, Kierra Sheard and a bunch of other artists have done. I’m sure she would have so much fun doing it and we would all finally get to hear songs like Slipping Away and Everything Fades Away live for the first time ever! I know we can make it happen! Thanks!
She is ... the mother I never had. She is ... the sister everybody would want. She is the friend that everybody deserves. I don't know a better person. I don't know a better person
Brother I share the same position and it pisses me off. Born in 94 and her lyrical genius + her vocal prowess demands appreciation, it debases any rhetoric that would otherwise insinuate 'you're gay if you listen to her.' Her catalogue's themes transcends such platonic themes.
I don't think her voice changed as much as some people think it did between the Daydream and Butterfly eras as much as her delivery did. She'd been dragged for over singing, and on Daydream, she downplayed her vocal abilities, and she continued to do so on Butterfly. She also began using her whisper register more, and It's apparent her favorite register to sing in (she wrote in her memoir that when her home life was spiraling out of control, she'd sing to herself in her whispery voice, and it would calm her down).
This tour and ERA was amazing. I LOVE everything about MARIAH. The voice, the songs, the way she is as a person...her fabulous sense of humour and her iconic shades...omg MARIAH FOREVER🦋
I feel so blessed that i have lived all the Eras...grown up with her was amazing. I LOVE her with all my heart and soul. The soundtrack of my Life since 1990. MARIAH💖
Same here. Witness her rise to stardom from her first album...was in love with her first few unforgetable epic soulful songs like "I'll Be There" and "Love Takes Time". Got all her singles and collectibles.
I became a fan in 1990 when I first heard Vision of Love on the radio thinking it was Whitney but through the song, I was like nah that's not Whitney. All In Your Mind made me a huge lamb (still going strong!)
The cure to my drug addiction was my Mariah ADDICTION SHE TOLD ME I COULD MAKE IT TRHOUGH THE RAIN AND I BELIEVED IT, RAIN DON'T BOTHER ME... SHE TOLD ME THAT HERO INSIDE OF ME... AND SHE ORDERED ME TO MAKE IT HAPPEN.... I AM FREE.
😍awww... this song is sooo special to me because I WON A PAIR OF AUTOGRAPHED SKATES IN A CONTEST! 😍 (they were hanging on my wall for 10 years until I decided to use them AND BROKE THEM 🤦🏻♂️) 😭
