I swear she couldn't go out and enjoy herself because then people would have a problem with it. Like they were so use to her staying home surrounded by security so she couldn't leave.
Wow this interviewer was so tacky with her delivery of questions...jumping from diamond rings to her sister with HIV. And she wasn't even informed on details before the interview. Mariah handled it like a trooper.
Interviewer: Is the life you living now, is it a kind of super star luxurious life? Mariah: 1:21 'you look at me and see the girl who lives inside the golden world but don't believe that's all there is to see, you'll never know the real me...'
Wow, reading The Meaning of Mariah Carey, this makes so much sense. It's a hard interview to watch and Stina (the interviewer) is asking her hard, deep questions.
She was heartbroken that her own husband betrayed her also all of what she been through through her childhood because when she was a child she was disowned because she was white and also black!!!!!. the black side talked about her, the white side talked about her!!!. she wasn't white enough she wasn't black enough!!!!!!!!. All she wanted was to be accepted live her dreams and be cool with her husband but her husband Tommy mottola didn't want to be cool with her after she left him he was trying to destroy her career!!!!!. And also Mariah was trying to live perfect!!!. Then she had to deal with her sister Allison because her sister had AIDS and children and also she had to take care of her mother and her family she had to watch her back because she couldn't trust people because she had to worry about people making a fool out of her so she had a lot on her plate so this interview she wasn't happy!!!!. She was very very very very worried she felt anxious and also she had to worry about new singers like Britney Spears Jennifer Lopez!!!!.
What’s sad is that she actually tried to make the marriage work, and missed him after the divorce. I’m pretty sure that the marriage only had love on Mariah’s life and Tommy was simply using her. Things would be different had tommy not manipulated her.
I think that’s what makes her unique. That sort of sultry sex appeal makes her a bit of a mystery and very interesting to listen to. She’s not loud and in your face and I love that about her, especially her past self. She was very mature at 20 years of age.
@@jasontillett confidence is not loud and in your face, that precisely is insecurity, mariah's unpleasant side is appearant in the snide comments and behaviour, never doubted she wasn't a graceful person.
what an uncomfortable/cringe-worthy interview 💀 “do these personal things affect you very much?” “your sister’s had a lot of problems, drugs, aids, etc.?” “so it’s hard to keep up the happy face all the time… now the audience is dying to hear you sing” 😑😑😑
