Her confidence is definitely up as she appears to be less nervous and still. I hope she does more live intros and outros by turning off the playback and eventually start singing most of Hero and IBT live. Also her ruby ensemble is my favourite from all her Celebration ensembles so far.
@@butterflyera not yet, but she's singing more adlibs in places where there isn't playback, which is a decent sign too. Also she used to walk off stage for that MIH bridge part, while now she's choosing to stay on stage to attempt the adlibs.
It's so sad, really. This is the woman that used to have the world at her feet with just one note. Now it's low energy performances and pre-recorded vocals all the way. Get some rest, Mariah. It's okay. We will still be here when you feel like returning.
I don’t know why she keeps giving us those songs every year?!!! She needs to find a way to excite the audience and go for normal range voice but live instead of lip sync the whole thing … she doesn’t need to belt out and she needs to produce a new album that fits her vocal range without adding too much overlapping vocals: a jazz album would be great for her current career or just acoustic version of her songs with middle range
@@dm3889 yeah! They have truly good chemistry. It's like he "challenges" her to sing sometimes but other times he can recognize that she's not really feeling it, so he scales it back too.
I wouldn’t say the change is necessarily bad. She went from “not feeling it at all” to “attempting when she feels like it”. Maybe this could be a rise in energy, and it could eventually lead to “she’s feeling it again”? One can only hope, but so far we’re headed in that direction, regardless of the IBT outros. She’s probably over the song by now, but didn’t record a “full song” track of Can’t Let Go, so she has to keep performing the mix.
as her confidence and energy grows, I feel we are heading the right direction vocally. I was saying to some lambs on twitter that I think if she really didn't like doing these shows, she wouldn't be adding an additional leg to the residency + a 20 city Christmas tour!
atp she should just make new arrangements for her songs like her never too far/hero mashup which defo suits her range way more now Also i think the reason she isnt singing live is probably still nervousness+menopause? I mean ever since 2022 where she got bashed heavily on, she basically stopped trying to sing live
I heard she played or sang a little of aiwfciy but I can’t find any clips longer than like 10 seconds of it 😭 I’d love to see the crowds surprised reaction to that
Thank you for recording this high quality footage!! Barely anyone has been posting anything this month😭 I'm happy you enjoyed the concert. ooh I'm sorry I was too rushed to make the video that I forgot to credit you! I'll add that now
i just don't get why she's even performing rn if she isn't passionate? lambs would NOT be mad if she chose to focus on herself and her family for a few months considering this is what she's selling.. but hey maybe she likes that it keeps her busy who knows
Why does she always sound SO BORED now💀she’s so over it I think she’s low key tired of lipping to the same track night after night 💀😭I bet it’s starting to feel so repetitive now 😭
She honestly sounds like she’s tired of performing. And I’m not sure why she wanted to do a tour. I would’ve been happy waiting until next year if it meant she had more time to rest and actually hype up to enjoying being back on stage, cuz this ain’t it. Still love her tho
She has always been a horrible live performer! She's always bored on the stage and sounds boring. That's why she's just considered to be just a studio singer, because there she has all the technology to shine.
@@andrese9805 but like msg 1995, 1993 tours, 2006 tours, butterfly 1998 tours, even rainbow tour she had soo much energy and was constantly running. Even charm and some years in the 10s. Something is just off
Honestly if I could afford it I would buy them anyway. The show overall is so well produced and enjoyable that I don’t mind her lipping as far as the performance goes.
Is she a tenor/contralto now? Maybe she's lipping so much now because she refuses to live where her voice sits naturally, so she's just lipping to continue the elusion? I wonder this because the only parts of her 2 min live vocal showcases that sound pleasant and comfortable are the deep lows. If she could train her voice down there I could see some tenor magic!
I honestly thought that was what was happening last year with Christmas... but then Vegas came along and now I'm not really sure anymore. Caution 2.0 maybe? Her energy now kinda reminds me of late 2017
Mariah really gave her everything at her vocal peak cos even tho its been 30+ yrs the damage wasn't supposed to be that bad....her duet partner has been singing with her from scratch but hes voice is overall still great....those tours were harsh & she probably didn't follow advices earlier on from tour vocal coaches coach
@@jalonwatts I’m fine with it too but I would be wary of the claim that she’s “saving” her voice for anything. Vocal fatigue hasn’t really been a big issue for her for a long time
We have to stop this. From one lamb to another. 2:22 of a what 90 minute concert?? Saving for what!? The voice is a muscle you have to constantly work it. The reason why it sounds so brittle or tense on the live parts because she’s not using her voice like she use to. We all know that normally Mariah’s best vocal moments always come later during the tour, because the voice is being worked out. Not singing isn’t going to help your voice. You’re not training it. We learn this in chorus. It helps with the elasticity. It sounds underused in a sense. I would say it’s an issue vocally but her speaking voice sounds strong. Maybe your strongest notes are lower chest belts. Gear your songs towards that and practice live by yourself. She can do it.
@@touchmyrainbow exactly lmao! Are we asking for too much? We just want a vocal I don’t need 90s vocals at all. I would love to hear the complexities of this era, but we can’t because it’s barely live. We can’t even say what the condition is.
@@dm3889 for real. although damaged her voice is still more than enough to wow me and most people, I don't expect or want 90s vocals back I just want her to sing her damn songs to us lol idc if she has to rearrange and lower them
