I really like the whistle. Seemed she wanted to keep going but then remembered she had a final chorus to finish lol. That downward riff was beautiful tho.
Same. It’s such a treat just hearing her otherworldly voice in her prime instead of always picking apart what people think was off. It just takes the joy out of listening to the performance for me. But, I get that it’s a hobby for some people.
The choice on the whistle is actually very interesting because she sang an harmonised line instead of the usual one she does to avoid the higher and main recorded version. If you sing it, you may notice how beautiful the harmony sounds! Even though she had to abruptly interrupt it to start the following sentence.
it's a crime ET never did a 30 year anniversary with rare moments. Imagine watching snippets of Mariah in MBT and rehearsals, behind the scenes, rare interviews of 1993... ugh :(
I read some of the comments and a lot of comments were made about the whistle note at 2:50.....so I anxiously awaited to hear it, lol. I thought it was awesome. It was different, and I've never heard her do that before. From 1990-1996, Mariah was on fire with the vocals.
Su presencia escenica en estas performance es increible!!!! Tan joven y tan imponente sobre un escenario, vacio, solo ella vistiendo un simple vestido negro y su voz ❤
This is a perfect example of where her nodules are rested, the belts and runs are pretty much perfect for debut especially, she supported most notes. But then on the other side the whistle was… interesting!
Unpopular opinion: this vocal range and analysis sector is the worst thing that has happened to RU-vid. I understand it's a hobby and people enjoy doing it, but it just cheapens and waters down the musicianship and performance to just a bunch of notes and does nothing but make people point out every single minuscule flaw in a singer's performance and reduces it simply to a vocal range video.
I know you some of you guys think mariah carey has lost range due to aging but tbh she hasnt lost any range, all of her albums are in the same belting range from her first album to her latest, 90% of her albums all belt around G#5, daydream and caution are the only two albums she didnt belt higher than E5 but mariah carey has the same belting range
the thing is that she never had much issues reaching E5s, or D5s, F5s were normally her limit, in current day her C#5s are kinda her limit note, even A4s sometimes comes as raspy or tensioned. so she doesn't have much freedom beyond that
@@vicktheengine5304 that doesnt make sense cus shes about to release another album and i promise its gonna be the same range as its been every year, i remember people saying she lost her voice after 2010 then released an album in 2014 belting up to an A5
@@josiahbutler2254yeah she just has to take vocal rest and she saves a lot of her vocals when shes releasing a new album thats why theyre so good in the studio but theyre great live too obviously
