+Supcharged I still consider '08 the worst time for her vocally, so it was a surprise when in 09 and 10 when she improved so drastically.

+Supcharged inaccurate. after her miscarriage in 08 she declined most likely due to medications. Some of her most powerful vocals have been in the 2010s bc she's started touring again during this decade (Angel's Advocate, Gold Coast, Elusive tour, Vegas,etc.) I do think that with getting older it became harder for her to manage her nodules but it seems like she is taking EXTRA care of her voice in the last few years and learning how to navigate them. Unless she had them secretly removed...

+Conner Kidd (ConnerKid) I agree. 08 was a time where she had the range but her voice wasn't powerful. Her Vegas Palm concerts in 09 were amazing which is why they made it into an album. but the rest of 08 and 09 Mariah looked like a zombie bc you could tell she was depressed about the miscarriage. 2010 was better as far as stage presence and vocals but until she got pregnant her didn't really become strong again. I was blown away with her voice on MCIIU and the special.

1990-1996 Mariah's Prime: incomparable, resonant live belting power, regular use of 7th octave whistles. 2003-2006 Vocal Renaissance: solid mid-chest belting, strong 6th octave whistles, stronger lower register. Rare use of 7th octave. 2009/2010 Return to Form: defined by strong belts and 6th octave whistles. Clearer tone. 1997 Voice changes (very beginning of change heard during 96 Tokyo concert) 1998-2000 Pronounced rasp with song keys lowered. Upper belts largely avoided. 2001 Voice stabilizes. Solid performances. Rare use of 7th octave. 2008 Strong performances, but vocally inconsistent. 2013-2015 Most vocally inconsistent era. Strong mid chest belts and lower register, but airy, dry whistles and strained, brief upper chest belts.

2003-2006 Charmbracelet and TEOM eras roughly combined forming a vocal renaissance period of greater vocal clarity, ease, and strength as well as improved breath support and stamina.

Joshua Samuels How about belting during 2006? Her belts were pretty rough throughout TAOM (Except for her Florida dates where she belted a G5 once)
