Okay so I’ve always been confused on the “best selling female artist” title. When I watch videos or interviews of Mariah, they refer to her as “The best selling female artist of all time.” But then when I watch videos or interviews of Madonna, they give her the same title. I love both of them equally, so I don’t care who holds the record, I was just confused lol.

Madonna technically is the best selling. With 350 million records sold. Mariah is around 240 million. But as someone has stated she did sell more records that most artists before her, in a much shorter time frame. And she is also the top seller in the US.
