I agree, they totally pitched it up for no reason, I wonder what the original unedited version sounds like. This is one of my faves but like I prefer the key she did in 2020 snippet!
@@kylerill its normal to pitch up songs! She did that for subtle invitation climax, I only wanted belts, some songs off of MIAMTEC album. Its normal! It's not a bad thing
@@carloss5376 I like how it showcases her voice but honestly if she were to ever perform this fully live I would love it more. They studio key sometimes gets a little annoying and impossible for anyone to sing along lmao😭😭😭😭😭
Is not that the record is too high, outside her range. Its just that there are too many high resonant moments to deal with live. This is a perfect *RECORD. But Mariah's true live vocals are all we live for. And we're always wanting live performances. I wish she would arrange this song for a truly live performance, lower key, heavy instruments, slowed down. I bet she'd kill it.
i totally agree with the first part of your comment but mariah's true live vocals are NOT what we all live for. i appreciate her as a writer and producer just as much as a vocalist. she's clearly struggling to perform live (nervousness, nodules, age, reduced range and agility). i truly think the pressure us fans put on her is causing issues. at this point i don't even care if she releases new music that she's unable to perform live, as long as she's having a good time writing which she said is her favorite part of the process.
@@violetaviana1888right y'all be expecting her to do every note transitions and everything from the original track live keep in mind Mariah did separate takes for almost every few lines on the emancipation most of the songs if not all where not in one take so it's unfair to expect it to sound just as good live
It is not a song impossible for mariah to sing if she rearranges it...the song sounds to me similar to "i stay in love", a song she sang live at some music awards.
Come on even me, best-upper-belts era couldn’t sing this song in original key…Sustained D5’s and E5’s, multiple G5 belts…too high even for me. And TEOM couldn’t belts above F5 live so…
I saw her sing this during this tour. It’s live, but one of her background singers carried those high notes. During the show she actually acknowledged the “help” she received and said thank you.
