Mariah's debut album is The Absolute album. A profound vocal wonder, an immaculate diamond! No one ever has sung like that- with such a warm ,full, heavy, ulra poweful yet incredibly bright, melodious, beautiful tone. The climax here is just jaw dropping - volcanic vocal projection which, unlike so many others, does not have that painful, unpleasant piercing, screechy effect. And on top of it all - she wrote it herself!
Thats vocal genius right there. I like that you only just now heard this song after doing so many Mariah reactions for years. That vocal climax is too silly, only her.
here are my requests: 1. the hardest songs of each mariah care album 2. we belong together live 8 mariah 3. ariana grande dangerous woman live from le trianon and also from the sweetener tour 4. tori kelly missin u or any other recent tori kellys vocals and songs
I always love your Mariah reactions. Please please please if you haven't yet, listen to her 11 minute c + c music factory remix of Anytime you need a friend. It is 11 non stop minutes of vocals, style changes, etc etc.... Just 🔥🔥🔥
Dear Citizens of Earth today....THIS is singing! I usually listen to the Official Music Video version, but every version is fire! ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥 Voice first and instruments compliment - not the other way around and no autotune. Love her so much! Staying on the same album (Debut) Please react to studio versions of: I Dont Wanna Cry You Need Me (almost like a Rock song) Someday (Music Video/Album or New 7" Straight version) - this one has many versions.
I mean, who in the normal state would sacrifice their throat just to sing this vocal suicide song? Nonetheless, this is probably one of my Top 5 MC songs ever. ❤❤
In my opinion TGTBAW is one her most underrated songs most novice listener's pass it off as filler material, because it's not necessarily a ballad which during that time she was known for primarily!
Every 80's/early 90's top artist had to include the "I care about social injustice and inequality" song on their album (following 🎶We Are the World's popularity). And those with a church background included the obligatory gospel song. Mariah combined those trends here. Welcome to hearing Debut Mariah. Her voice was definitely heavier and more powerful back then. The reason why some people are so impressed with her now is because they didn't hear her back then first like those of us who were alive then. This was my first cassette (along with MC Hammer) and I played it OUT.
THATS WHY SHE IS THE QUEEN OG VOCALS! THE YOUNGER GENERATION NOWADAYS DO NOT UNDERSTAND! THE LEVEL OF DISRESPECT TO MARIAH! THEY JUDGE MARIAH WHEN SHES 55yo YET PEOPLE SONT KNOW HER ENTIRE PORTFOLIO AND HER ABILITIES DURING HER PRIME! UP UNTIL TODAY! I WILL SAY THIS NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES I HAVE SAID IT! “NO ONE CAN SING LIKE MARIAH CAREY! NO ONE CAN COPY HER SKILLS AND TONE! NOBODY! I CAN HEAR A LOT OF WHITNEY CHRISTINA AGUILERA CELINE DION ARETHA FRANKLIN IN NEW GENERATION BUT NO MARIAH CAREY! NO ONE!NOBODY!
When Mariah belted in this era, it was incredibly powerful. Very very impressive, but as time went on she wanted to be more and more different from Whitney
Can you please react to the UK R&B girl group ‘FLO’🙏🏾 They have a new single out now called ‘Caught Up’. Their sound is very Y2K/90s R&B and they’re really talented
Please, react to Gabriel Henrique Hurt, by Cristina Aguilera, Earth Sonh,Michael Jackson and the new cover I Want to Know was Love Is, with Coral Black to Black. All amazing.
@@debutriah2854 Stick to those flop struggle dance vids on your channel. You're literally in this comment section arguing with everyone and calling everything stupid. Go away. Your trolling is getting annoying.
Not really Whitney inspired. Its more similar to Whitney than her later vocals for sure, but that is because ARETHA was the main inspiration for both, they picked up a lot of the same things. She loved Whitney but had already developed a style of singing before her debut
@@NIPPYxMIMI Nope. Aretha had been inspiring generations of singers for decades by that point and their musical style wasn’t THAT similar to Whitney’s sound. Not even just the instrumental arrangement but vocally she’d begin the song singing in a very soft voice that gradually became bigger as the song progressed. The Daydream album was when she’d officially had her own sound. Not to mention she used the same producers Whitney was working with
@@NIPPYxMIMI Yes Whitney inspired, she has said this in numerous videos every female artist was inspired by Whitney this is why she was compared to Whitney when she first came out, ok

I love this era of Mariah vocally. In this era, Emotions, and even a little Music Box era. She utilized more Gospel vocals with a more robust, huskier tone. Her whistle tones were a lot stronger when she first came out. They were very bright and piercing. They became more airier over time. She came on the scene with a force. She really gave everything she had vocally on this record. She really wanted to make a statement.
I love how Mariah's magical talent is appreciated by this new generation...he was a toddler when the song came out ..yes huneee her voice is fabulous get the albums from the 90's. She came out In 1990 ....listen to "SO COLD"
Her debut and sophomore were vocally insane. Mariah started to show a little more restraint with Music Box. Would you consider reacting to the title track from that album? Music Box (the song and album) are among my all time favorites! 🙏🏽
Hi Adam, this is one of my favorite songs from her debut album. Did you know there's a music video for it? I hope you'll react to her song "And You Don't Remember" from her second album someday. It's another favorite of mine, especially for the emotion and the powerful lyrics.
