I firmly believe that Mariah Carey is a complete stranger to me so I have no idea whether she or her manager (or both) is behind her application to monopolize the title Queen of Christmas. I only know that it's ridiculous to try to legally prevent other performers from using that title as well. Besides, like she once said, only Mary could really be considered the true Queen of Christmas. This seems very selfish and egotistical of Mariah and if she's not behind this she needs to speak up and correct all the news coverage that is blaming her, not her management.

I have no need or reason to use it but the other females who have come forward to challenge her trademark application should be allowed to continue using the title as well. honestly im a huge mariah fan and i love her christmas music obviously. in my mind mariah is such a huge superstar no matter what the season. i wish people would actually pay more attention to her music year round instead of focusing just on that one song.

I'm not sure about trademarking the term, but I love Mariah. Listening to All I want for Christmas has been my favorite way to kick off the Christmas season every since I was a little kid.
