Honestly, I think with some vocal therapy/training to improve technique, fluidity, agility and breath control, Mariah would truly give a stunning performance. Even if it's just for 6 months or something. She must be willing to admit she needs a little help..nothing crazy. Clearly, she still has it but needs to perfect it. I think her next project can have great vocals because you can record a song in small sections (and you won't see the issues with her fluidity and breath control). In the studio: * Any very distinctive rasp can be "cleaned up" because she can hit her notes but the higher they go (esp 5th octave) the more raspy it gets. * She needs to leave her dark, mature, smooth tone. That "chipmunk" kind of sound on songs like " big energy " is NOT necessary. * Plus, I heard LA Reid will be producing it. He doesn't play about vocals and making great songs that actually suits the artist's voice.
@@DaydreamCarey1234 that’s because she’s using a more nasally forward approach to lighten the voice as that allows the voice to have a girly tone and it makes singing higher notes easier.
A whistle era definitely, the lows are so good too. Her belts isn't the best rn wbk but she has some really good moments like the B4 from "grace". She should embrace and work on that dark and lower tone she has now cause its beautiful
@@Lilith816 I don't. But since Daydream she's been brightening her voice and still does it nowadays, that's why I said she should embrace the dark tone, which is her natural one, so it will be easier to sing and it's still beautiful
let's just appreciate the fact that she doesn't lip sync every song and tries her best to give a live performance, and even if her voice has declined a little (that is still a 4 octave range) which other 52 year-old can sing like this
My wish for mimi is she really retrains her voice and does different arrangements so she’s not straining so much , I wish she sang live more and even took it down a key or two like when she sang ABMB live on the rainbow tour
i honesty dont think she has lost any of her vocal range at all, i think because of her nodules you have to catch her on a good day, but shes belted just as high in her latest albums as in her prime, i think she lowers the key sometimes to preserve her voice, i think she could sing all her songs in the original key but she would have to push harder & she probably doesnt want to 🤷🏾
@@bub6883 no she doesnt, ur making up stuff because there are plenty of performances in the early 90s that are bad also but nobody is pointing out those so whats the difference now? shes always done better in the studio, shes always lowered the key ever since she started & she said she was told to never have them removed… and she has belted just as high in her newer albums if not higher in her older ones….
@@josiahbutler2254 her belting voice is seriously in tatters. it'd be delusional to think she can still sing all her old songs on the same key and with the same arrangement. with proper voice care and coaching, she might get back to emancipation era vocal state
I think her voice is less constricted compared to the last 2 eras (quarantine and Caution). It sounded even full like veryyy full at times. Like she did in oh holy night day 1 in MSG And that C5 belt she did in jttw “HEEEEEER Kiiiing” is something those 2 eras cant even do
@@DaydreamCarey1234 I disagree, it's a lot more constricted than it was before. Her voice isn't any fuller, it's just more pushed and there's less overbrightening and lightening since she's a lot less able to control how her tone sounds. And at least in 2019-2020 she was able to produce a clean belt. In this era all of her belts are heavily pushed and have this raspy edge to them. She's even struggling on lower 4th octave notes. Not only that, she cannot phrase to save her life. It's really sad. I don't get what's happened to her voice recently but she needs help
I guess one of the fun fact on her voice issues is that it's almost only about her chest, mixed notes... I mean, her lows, falsetto, and her whistles have almost always there.
@@westanmariah I did the crack thing on PC 🤭🤭 cuz I dont wanna pay for a meh game. Probably buying it on Ps5 is better than PC (which i dont rlly own a Ps5 but a Ps4 but cyberpunk in Ps4 sux so i decided to play it on PC) but ill tell you the story wasn’t that bad, but the freaking bugs and blur is annoying. These big open world games were pretty disappointing tbh.

ofc it is Her supported range at her best during her prime were Eb3-G5-Bb5 Her supported range now is Eb3-C#5-F5 at her best tho im not sure about the highest one.
Literally everything here isn’t supported but that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be counted in her range. Minus lipped vocals and exclamations it’s probably more like C#3-D5-G#6, I don’t think the My All note was live
@@Solo-vh9fm the my all note was live. And also oh holy night also had B2. And she supported up to C5 or C#5 atleast. And F5 head voice, Im pretty sure she supported Eb3 or E3 too. And the oh holy night whistle Bb6 is also live and she did an Eb5 but the F5 is very cracky. Still part of he range and i didn’t included any exlam.
OMG! She has lost it all, apparently her higher comfortable belting note is a C5. Even I can reach it in mixed voice being a male. It’s worrying for her.
