I watched the half-time show with my 65-year-old dad. He hated Biebs and Carly Rae Jepsen, but said he really liked Marianas Trench. And my dad is the biggest music snob you'll ever meet. :)
Honestly they dont sound bad at all why's everyone saying they do. They're amazing and you shouldnt hate on anyone you have no idea the affect your words can have on someone. People should grow up.
I love Marianas Trench! I dont get why everyone said they did a bad job. They did awesome! And if people think that they were lip syncing, doesn't that mean that they did amazing?
I love these boys so much! They are without a doubt the most talented musicians I've ever had the pleasure of hearing in my entire life, and their music has done so much to help motivate and inspire me.
Im not liking all the mean comments, Ive seen them live, they are amazing. He did very well, and unlike a lot of other singers today Josh can ACTUALY SING and so can the rest of the band members- Very very well as a matter of fact. I think he did amazing just like he does at all his other live preformances, Although i do admit he sounded like he may have had a sore throat, poor guy. It sounds like Josh has a bit of a sore throat or cold... Ive heard them do this song live and Josh usually belts it out. I love MT and how hard they work for their fans. Canèt wait for a chance to see them again :)
I feel like the reason people thought it was lip synched was because the choir part was playing in the background. And people think that they should have been singing that (even though its not their part to really sing...) but I think they did freaking AMAZING, and yeah, his voice was a little hoarse around the end but so what, he was probably nervous. Ok. rant done.
whats up with all the hate? why does his hair or makeup matter it has nothing to do with the performance and also alot of guys wear makeup the eye liner is just a part of josh's style and theres nothing wrong with that. (not trying to argue with u im just saying)
Sigh. I wish I had a fraction of their vocal talents. They all sing so well. I, on the other hand, sound like I need to be put out of my misery when I sing. I LOVE to sing but I suck at it. So jealous of these boys!
i should clarify that i am saying Josh "isn't" lip syncing...you can tell he isn't with the fluctuations in his voice and the altering notes... it happens when you sing and dance around... i am comparing the difference between beibers perfect "non lip syncing" which in parts he clearly was and singing along to tracks... people need to loosen up and read and understand all comments before they get ridiculous and rude with comments !!!
His voice seems kind of... scratchier(?) than normal. Is he just sick? I've been to 2 of their concerts and they. are. amazing~ I'm also glad to see that they are getting more popular! :33 It's bitter-sweet. It'll be hard to see them in the smaller venues anymore, but that also means that there's just more people to love them :D

Well still, how does that explain what Josh said? The day after his birthday he said he was single, matt said he was also single, and then mike and ian said they were taken. So either they broke up and got back together, or their not together. They couldn't have never broken up if Josh said that only 5 months ago.

agreed but they were prob really nervous and honestly it wasent that bad i find when they get filmd for tv they tend to not do as good but it was still a good preformance :)

if you listen to him and JB , josh is often out of breath and its because he is dancing and moving around... if he was lip syncing you wouldn't hear that or perfect flowing lyrics... JB was clearly using a lot of back up tracks (no one is that good at voice control) and JB was just dancing it up... You could tell Josh and the guys were playing and singing live... some people just don't have a clue ...
ughh. i mean i used to love this band, mucho, but now its just like pop pop pop and like ugh. perfromances havnt been amazing either. i went to the vancover concert last yr, it was pretty good but my dad asked me and if this was the bandi like... i cant reconize they anymore.
I honestly thought Bieber was... He sounded to 'perfect' with his crazy dancing... I still am sad Marianna's Trench didn't sing their popular songs... This isn't a time to show off your new one, its time to put on a show... That's just my opinion!
The cheating is unconfirmed and ppl LOVE to spread really nasty rumors about Amanda so don't believe anything you hear unless it comes from Josh or Amanda. Also I know they are still together since they were just in a video together like a week ago.
The thing that makes me mad is that MT is getting accused of lip syncing when Bieber lip synced his whole performance and no one even cares. Anyway, they didn't do that bad. Sure it's not their best performance, but it is not "the worst performance ever".
I mean come on. I honestly thing josh was sick. he sounds a little off. when they did Stutter in Detroit that I went to when He crowd surfed and practically sang in my ear. i had my hands in his hair. they would NEVER lip sync
Theyre not a boy band... theyre just a band. A boy band is more like one direction where multiple 'heartthrobs' sing and usually dont play instruments.
