I remember this song from many years ago, I did not like it much then being more into heavy rock and military songs. Now I am old this song has appeal, it reminds me of a better time even though a more dangerous time. We are in for more dangerous times, enjoy as what doesn't kill you only makes you more bitter.

I absolutely love her unique voice and delivery of this song, she and Marlene Dietrich are my favourite female voices, Marianne should be far higher in the rankings of female artists

I have a story about the album Broken English ; Once upon a time in the mid 80s when I was a young stoner , one of our clan/group of friends recorded this from vinyl onto cassette, then friends were recording it from cassette to cassette, from the original cassette, two of the tracks were scratched badly and would jump/jump/jump and when you were in different houses/bedsits and cars you would hear the same scratched record recording on everyone's cassette. We all found it amusing.
