When I heard in the news that Marianne had caught Covid, my heart broke. I wasn’t ready to live in a world without her voice and her words. But I knew she would come out the other side ❤️ She is the dictionary definition of survivor. I am so excited to hear this record.

Just gonna comment less than 30 seconds into the video here (totally looking forward to the album btw): Marianne has lived a long and storied life in the public eye, faced many trials and been torn down for them... but you can still see the same sparkle in her eye from when she was young. She's such a resilient soul. Always brilliant, always witty, always literate. She is the pinnacle of a living legend and her story means so much to me. She should be so much more widely appreciated than she is. She deserves everything. Edit: finished the video. I love that after all these years she still calls out Mrs. Simpson by name. So sweet. As someone who wants to be an English teacher someday... I would die for her.

From the first note of "All I hear is the sound - of rain falling on the ground - I sit and watch as tears go by" For an English schoolgirl, never been kissed, loved MUSIC and POETRY - I even had a Music Teacher who introduced me to BACH, BEETHOVEN, and English Country ballads - and KEATS, SHELLEY, and BYRON. I've followed her journey thru life. - "Broken English" is one of my favorites. I've always felt MARIANNE is my SISTER. My "SISTER of the HEART"

So sad that Marianne let drugs take control. I went to a concert Hyde Park free when I was seventeen. She was beautiful but not well. She was there because Jagger was on stage bad influence.
