really...why criticise - feel free to not agree and not like...who is anyone to say what is tango and what is not - the thing that stops growing and evolving is dead...laws of nature - for me this is gorgeous flow of dance and connection and creativity between a man and a woman who train and study and evolve and work exquisitly together...a creative, innovative, skilled, fluid, feeling collaboration

If this is a tango festival, Chicho should be dancing to tango music. Tango can only survive as a social dance, not an exhibition dance. He learned watching the milongueros and knows tango is an embrace.
Jantango, if things never changed, tango would not have been born. Chances are, you would have been among those in the early days of tango who wrote it off as vulgar or unacceptable, who would say Tango is not a proper dance. To be sure, you are now among those who tell others what proper Tango is and what isn´t. And to tell one of the greatest innovators of Tango what he should do on a festival. I do detest show tango, when couples do their gymnastics and muscle throug a choreography without any soul left in them. But this: great show and still all the connection and intimacy you can wish for. One of the best displays of creative Tango I have ever seen. No specific milonguero embrace needed. Well it´s in the eyes of the beholder, I guess.
ha... and to say Piazzolla isn't tango music... just because most people consider it too difficult to dance to doesn't mean you can't - as demonstrated impressively here by Chicho & Juana
