Thank you to all of the Lalanders for making our first stay at Lalande pure MAGIC! I can share that Marie’s first guest dinner was, indeed, a triumph. Nati is so lovely and attentive. Stephanie and Philip are even more charming and hospitable in person. My mother and daughter and I had the most remarkable stay in this beautiful home. Thank you to all! 💐

I absolutely love this channel and everyone at LaLand! I look forward to these videos every day. I also love going back, from time to time, to Stephanie’s very first video and binge watching all her videos from the very beginning! I do it every now and again, because I have loads of time on my hands every day and what’s better to watch on RU-vid than The Chateau Diaries….absolutely nothing, because The Chateau Diaries is a channel full of love, laughter, family, friends and miracles…I LOVE IT! This channel lifts my mood, makes me smile and I also get to travel again by watching it. I was injured in the military (spine and other serious injuries) so, I spend a lot of time, alone, in my hospital bed at home, so to pass time, I love going back and rewatching all Steph’s videos. Just seeing how things have changed and transpired over the years is absolutely amazing to see, as well as seeing all those that have come and gone, as well. I absolutely adore Steph and Philip and all of LaLand and I feel like I’m a part of a very special family of people that come from all over the world! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Steph, the fluffy white flowering plant at the beginning of your walk is called Tiarella. The common name in US is foam flower. I love this plant!

I had cataract surgery on my first eye two days ago, been watching your videos since covid, and holy cow I couldn't believe how beautiful the bluebells were with my corrected eye.

The trees will soon be out and then the woods will be a lovelier walk with shade. what a lovely family Lancelot has and loads of property to romp around through. You have scored when you found this property. So beautiful and I can see how you feel you need to pinch yourself that it belongs to you.

Lancelot walking in the woods was so beautiful - I notice your Greater Stitchwort is out and looking as if it's been fed manure over the Winter - perhaps that is just next to little L.. And I never thought I would say this, but I missed the guests. Having them back is such an energy boost to the chateaux. Very pretty dress, Stephanie, and Phillip, you excel at anything decorational, including that table.. Things would be complete if your mother and Percy could return - she has always been such a vital part of chateaux life. Miss her.

Jean from Suffolk. Just a suggestion for Amaury regarding the lights and gold tape. Try using gold picture wire. It’s very thin so you won’t notice it.

Lights in the dining room, use gold wire and wrap it around the entire length following the spiral design of the arm. Will totally hold it in place and look pretty as well

Stephanie’s right! - the gorgeous bluebell woods are like being in a dream and I have taken screenshots from a previous years vlog because it was such a heavenly sight to me! The Bluebells are so worthy of making prints of or making cards for the Lalande shop. I also had the thought that maybe Lancelot should have a high viz vest or collar in case he gets lost amongst the leaves in the forest.😅🥰

Lancelot has come such a long way from the frightened little pup who was too nervous to venture outside. Now he's living his best life. I love seeing him enjoying the freedom of the grounds of Lalande. He really is a very lucky little dog, what a great life.

I visited the church of Saint Germain des Pres in Paris and the style of the decorations is so similar to thre style in the chapel - is there a connection?

The chapel will be a destination place for a lot of people I'm guessing. It is stunning now and there's more to come. Congratulations Marie, not sure where you find the time to do flowers and cooking.

You need to buy them inflatable neck pillows. I watched this girl that was painting clouds on a ceiling and I don’t mean child like they were more realistic and her neck was killing her, on a whim she bought two inflatable neck pillows and said that it was just genius. All that looking up and painting above your head is horrible for your neck, she said her neck pain went down to a minimum after using them. I thought it was genius myself because I too painted for years until the arthritis set in. Also I have to say today I have noticed a huge difference in the ceiling and wow does it look just stunning, they are doing such a wonderful job you are so lucky to have them.

What’s the status on the lake? Awaiting permits was last update. Love to see that develop. Marie’s food looks so ono (Hawaiian for good).

Wonderful walk in the woods, cute puppy dog, Marie's delicious food, happy guests, Phillip's gorgeous and inviting table setting, and Stephanie the hostess with the mostess. Who could ask for more?

For the black cable ties, why not just use gold marker, or gold paint and dab that on the black? There's even gold spray paint, and the ties can be sprayed outdoors, then when dried, put into place. No more unsticky issues with the tape.

Instead of gold tape I’d use dots of UV resin to affix those wires
