Marienheide! What a pleasure to find this. As an American, I worked in a factory in Marienheide for a summer when I was very young, in 1973. It is such a beautiful area and I have such nostalgia for it. The beauty of the forests and the hills. The friends I met there.
@@ghost458 Sure. Beral Bremslage. ( I don't know how to do umlauts on the keyboard.). Have you heard of it? Are you from Marienheide? I lived above an old bar/restaurant at Klosterstrasse 3, across from the Catholic Church. I had one good friend from Marienheide, a college student who was working at Beral for the summer. I also became friends with three girls younger than me. I broke my finger in the factory and had to make regular visits by bus to the doctor in Gummersbach.
@@ghost458 It was a brake lining factory on the way out of town, past the Catholic Church. (St. Maria, I believe it is called.). Great that you have lived there.
