We are all cowards trying to preserve our double story houses and cars at the expense of future generations....we are ALL GUILTY...Thank you Advocate..sizwile...
You know when i listen to this man speaking truth to power everytime he is given a platform, he just inspires me,makes me want to study law so hard not so that i can uphold it, but so i can master it enough to change it while remaining in the right side of it. Being a successful lawyer that he is, he stands to lose more than gain from this statements. Im not selfishly admiring his sacrifices, because this is actually a big sacrifice, so that i can be a spectator that just offers him condolences on social media. Im consciously appreciating that if a learned and success intellectual like Muzi, who would benefit more from compliance than non-compliance, has taken a conscious decision that their individual gains from this dispensation of vicious economic exclusion and exploitation, aren't enough for him to tolerate the virtually naturalized black economic inferiority Ironically in the era of the so-called freedom and democracy. When one takes an objective gaze at the current state of affairs, it becomes patent that the race that atrociously colonized us, is gradually, but surely succeedingly, regaining its political power. And be under no illusion that we ever had political power, it was only artificial, meant to serve the purpose of controlling black anger post-apartheid to effect a non-violent transition. Now that they can see that under the pretext of democracy, they can actually patiently embark on campaign to recruit liberal blacks(blinded and conscious ones) to their camp, outside of a group they co-opted to run the country at their behest(ANC) whilst they create an impression that apartheid has been defeated when economic realities suggest the opposite, they are reaching the finish line through what's conveniently termed coalition government. How can we believe that we can co-govern with a group that have been running the country outside of government? It wont be a coalition, but a consortium that's ran by one party and other parties will just be controlled through political dividends, and then it will be worse because they just be possessed with resources, but also armed with administrative power to determine to whom the rights to participate meaningfully in politics and economics must be confered. It's scary, and our people are believing this propaganda and actually trust that a white party can take them out of their poverty. Logic has never been so wickedly and blindly defied. How can a race whose continued economic superiority is inextricably linked with your continued impoverishment utilize their power and resources to defy the logic that attained them their prosperity in lifting you from poverty? Perhaps im ignorant of other aspects of this conundrum, perhaps history is no longer the accurate gauge to predict the future. I'm open to different perspectives.
Skhakhane has just reminded me of how much everyone of us did in our little corners in our communities for this democracy to exist, with the hope that it will change our lives 😭😭😭... Thank you for the thruth Sir
Truth telling is the lonely path ... People who consciously decided to betray the masses that put them, because of commercial reasons. Greatest lecture ever advocate, Sikhakhane.
Brilliant definition of Self-hate more so when he speaks of the one who embraced Verwoerd's wife instead of that of Sobukwe and Biko but how do we expect a man who couldn't forgive his own wife but instead preferred to forgive his jailers who made the very same wife to take care of children when they locked him up,Mama Winnie and the workers of Marikana that you loved so much you will never be forgotten.
Eish, its very difficult to listen to this speech, i cant stop my tears flowing, crying for Blackness and Africanness, We Will never be Free for as long as we live in poverty, As long as we don't have ownership of our Land, our Minerals , our Wealth!!!!😓😓😥😥😢😢
I'm speechless! I salute the Honourable SC Skhakhane for a new perspective he has given us, he spoke Pan-Africanism, I pray for his safety, such Truths have never been, are not and will forever not be tolerated.✊✊✊✊✊
Mr Skhakhane. I think all our politicians have to watch this lecture. Very educational and profound. Maybe we must have this lecture made available to the public broadcaster as the Human Rights Day Lecture, for all South Africans.
Muzi, is one of de best intellectuals we have, but as always, we black people will try and find little weakness in ourselves, and we quarel about, we get stagnant in small issues
Adv. Skhakhane, u Baba u Mboma ka Mqhele! This man is simply marvelous, a true son of Africa, you can tell from the tone of his voice, he is prepared to lose it all for the struggle. We need more and more of such minds, bottom up to the top of the levers of society, business, government, judiciary etc. We need this revolutionary spirit, we must fight against this oppression of black people, we must fight it tooth and nail, blood and sweat!
This truth didn't just set me free it got me scared, not for me but for Muzi and others who speak it to power. I pray he doesn't become a statistic like those who were eliminated by the apartheid regime or those leaders in Africa who were sold by their comrades to the West
Bra Muzi❤️ Consistently championing this path for the last 25 years since I first had the privilege of meeting, studying and learning under him and Bra Aubs Mtshiqi. He remains an inspiration👍🏽
For me, this is the most powerful post democratic speech I have heard in this country. Well articulated and argued "Stuff the movement." I always say we must ask ourselves this question, "Should we owe the ANC for "liberating us, or should they be the ones that owe us everything for putting them into power?" We need more fearless voices who are not political, abafana no baba uSikhakhane!
If you cannot do great things ,do small things in a great way. Every time I listen to this man I'm inspired . Truth be told many of our black intellectuals have surrendered not because of they can't do anything but because of their selfish desires. I salute you Advocate Sikhakhane .
"We will never know peace until each one of us is in peace"-Adv Sikhakhane SC. No truer words. We lack Ubuntu as Africans especially us South Africans, I'd say. It really doesn't make any sense that we can't speak in one voice yet we are frustrated by the same things.
Advocate Sikhakhane said he is touched by how these people of Marikana died, I'm so touched by his narrative, I'm actually fighting to hold my tears aback when he speaks, his message was so touching and feel like we have to do something as Africans. We cannot keep quiet until the day we die having done nothing, surely we would have lived a life not worthy to have lived. We feared to die for something worth dieying for, and lived a faked life trying to appease the cruel Whites who are vehemently haters of anything black even themselves, ADVOCATE THIS IS DIRECTED TO YOU SPECIFICALLY, MY BROTHER U'VE PREACHED A POWERFUL SERMON TO MY EARS, FRANKLY SPEAKING I AM STRONGLY BELIEVE IN GOD, BUT YOUR SERMON I'VE NEVER HEARD OF IT ANYWHERE, YOU ARE A GOD SENT, PREACH THE WORD WITHOUT FEAR OR FAVOR, JESUS IS COMING VERY SOON, GOD WILL PROTECT YOU UNTIL HIS MESSAGE THROUGH YOU AS HIS INSTRUMENT HAS REACHED EVERYONE IN THE WORLD, PREACH ON, PREACH ON, PREACH ON BROTHER AND SHAME THE devil and his followers in High positions of Leadership.
Wow this lecture I was so empowering, so real so conscious raising. Thank you adv Skhakane my leader. "we must start imagining the freedom without the ANC" Skhakane, (2024).
So true! The only "force" being balanced is fear. And this is not only at the level of politicians, it goes right down through the middle class to the lowest in our society, most of us are honestly governed by fear even though we know we deserve better... or do we? 🤔That's another crucial question.
I feel the caliber of and level must come in as ppls Presidents not voted into power but given the power by the ppl unlike these power hungry ppl like Zuma ,Gayton ,Ramaphosa and anyone who feel they can stand the heat I feel this man Muzi can stand his ground
Truth to power has ramifications, and only a few are willing and able to withstand the consequences... Skhakhane is one is a million, and he will sure grow old and die with his conscience clear, for he remembered to see and tell the TRUTH!
At least we know that there are people who bring hope to us as black people. I am inspired and encouraged in my thinking and argument I always have with many comrades about the statu quo. May the good God bless and protect you until I meet you and Dali Mpofu
Adv. Muzi Sikhakhane! Always challenging the status quo. Always pushing the boundaries. While the rest of West Africa continue to rise to demand that Africa benefit the Children of the Soil first before she can benefit the West, we here at home continue to be oblivious to that reality that a push for active and radical Pan Africanism is long over due. There is no true freedom and justice that can be handed to you over a negotiation table. War is never a solution but a directed radical action to restore what was taken from the native by force is a necessary policy direction. We need more and more voices like those of Adv. Sikhakhane to reach every corner of this nation so that we all begin to have this dialogue at the same time as those brothers and sisters in other parts of the continent.
Mayibuye i Afrika!!!, May the True African Spirit Awaken the ancient spirit of Ubuntu, the ancient spirit of Humanity not the colonize-red warlord spirit of the colonizers.
They have no remorse the example is Orania where they build their university even want their own currency blacks are not welcomed it proves that it's not yet Uhuru after 30yrs buwa Mr Skakane we need the truth it's time black people to wake up and smell the coffee
What worries the most is the way black people blood spill during Ramaposa reigns almost everyday black people die like ants this is scary something must be done this is too much people gunned down people die on roads accident people burnt children also die what is this ?how does Ramaposa sleep with this nightmares happening in his country our people are dying more than these countries who are at war this is a shame something need be done to stop thisI heard one of the undertaker saying corpses are decaying because of load shedding this is shameful what Ramaposa doing now going around lying something must be done I don't think black life matter to the leaders of the day only money what have black people done to suffer and struggle like this, God show your power and stop this you are the only hope of a black child their future is bleak these massacres should stop plz enough is enough thank you sir for reminding us about ourselves and to take charge of our country and the future of our children this country is a mess it needs men and women who are ready to save the black child
And in the name of this truth telling, these very "leaders" the good advocate lambasts, are the very people he and his fellow silks (Dali) turn around and defend most vociferously in their nefarious acts.
@@sizwezuma3687 agreed, but he should not turn around and present himself as if he is on some god sent mission. He is only hustling for his supper, like the rest of us, that's it.
